Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition offers so much more than what the base game did, while also improving upon the already solid base game at the same time. This is easily the definitive way to play Dying Light.

The Following is the kind of expansion that by today's publishing standards could have easily been labeled as a sequel and given a higher price tag. It doesn’t get everything right, but still has a lot to offer.

Some of the coolest moments were just running from roof to roof. The Following gave me a lot to do, and it kept me happy. Once you beat it, it does get a little stale, but other than that, this game is amazing! Expand

Dying Light is one of the best zombie games I've ever had the pleasure of playing.

    Dying Light:
Lets get the bad out of the way first, Dying Light's story is lacklustre at best. Its not bad but it is incredibly cliched and generic right down to its antagonist, Rais, who is little more than a Vaas Montenegro rip-off that even the protagonist, Kyle Crane, remarks on being really annoying. There is a weapon durability system in place here that is terrible simply because it is a weapon durability system, though it is tolerable and not nearly as bad or annoying as games like Silent Hill: Downpour or most especially Breath of The Wild.
That pretty much sums up all the glaring flaws, now its time for the good stuff and boy is there some good stuff. I mentioned that the story is lacklustre but it does do a fantastic job of putting the player in fun and interesting scenarios. The main quests are great (for the most part) and while the side missions can be very hit or miss, I did enjoy the majority of them.
The game is playable in 4-player co-op and functions great in both single-player and co-op, you also get a large variety of outfits to wear including a plethora of national outfits. Killing zombies NEVER gets old, it simply remains fun throughout the whole game, even on New Game+ and theres even a 4th post-game skill tree called "Legend Levels" that goes up to level 250 and provides permanent stat boosts as well as a number of unique outfits unlocked every 25 levels. All of this makes the game highly re-playable.

    The Following:
The Following is an expansion for Dying Light that is bundled in with the Enhanced Edition and is almost as long as the main game. This time around the story is unique, interesting and genuinely unpredictable. There are new weapons, outfits, a new area called "The Countryside" and even a new skill tree, "Driver". Buggies are a new addition that really spices up the gameplay quite alot and they can be upgraded, painted and decorated. The Countryside is beautiful and you can spend hours simply exploring this lush, new world.

    Be The Zombie:
Be The Zombie is a PvP Invasion mode where you invade other players games as a deadly Volatile and attempt to kill them before they destroy all your nests. As a Volatile, you'll have your own level and skill tree and you'll gradually gain more and more abilities that can be used to crush the humans. This mode is incredibly fun and will provide hours of entertainment.

Dying Light really surprised me with its quality and I would definitely recommend it to any and all zombie fans out there.
