Storm Island provides added value for an existing game, filling out the edges of Forza Horizon 2 with lots of new content to explore both online and off, giving an ample number of reasons to jump back in with a game that’s likely been set aside for other titles released between September and now.
This is an excellent expansion, then, one that complements the main game while gracefully underlining what exactly it was that made that Forza Horizon 2 so enticing in the first place.
This DLC is so nice! Contents are awesome, the island is not too big but it's enough to have various areas. Graphics are nice with storm and rain, thunder...there are a lot of height différence, so it is very pleasant. Offroad means big truck, 4x4 and rally cars. So the difference with FH2 is enough to enjoy this dlc. there are also new vehicule, a lot of championships. lifetime of this dlc is long and more if you want to finish it at 100%. this dlc is almost better than FH2! sensation are very good and map very beautiful and various. maybe dlc is expensive but I do not regret my purchase far away. From my point of view one of the best dlc ever. if you like FH2 you have to play this dlc, seriously. Collectors challenge are more difficult than FH2 challenges. Light effect are awesome and weather conditions changes more than FH2. I recommand to play this dlc and i can't wait for the next dlc!!! If you like rally, offroad or FH2 you'll enjoy this dlc, i'm pretty sure about that. There are no rally games for xbox one but this dlc is almost better than an entire rally game! ;)
When I heard that it was mainly an off road expansion I wasn't too excited. But having tried it I can recommend it wholeheartedly. The new terrain is awesome, the new tracks and the way that you access races also makes for a good addition to FH2. The extreme weather is also a nice change, on the mainland I kept hoping it would rain, on the island it rains all the time. I hope they bring us some more expansions like this
The best way to continue enjoying one of the best racing games of 2014. Storm Island is focused on off road races and includes iconic cars such as the Dakar Mini, although it´s not cheap.
Although it's more expensive than your average add-on, Forza Horizon 2's Storm Island DLC is well worth the purchase, and not just because of its enhanced weather effects. There's a lot of bang for your buck here, which shows that Playground Games cares about its fans.
Forza Horizon 2: Storm Island is fine dlc with its own face. The focus on driving offroad, the extreme weather effects, tiny changes to the known racing formulas plus the new rides are all coming together perfectly. Unfortunately this DLC does not really work for fans of super-shiny sports cars, especially because the new island is not worth exploring any further than just the racing.
The new content is well-constructed, but the big noises being made about the new race types are a little bit overblown for our liking. The new weather is good but not necessarily as varied as it could have been, and the event types could have been more outlandish. However, there's absolutely no doubt that Playground’s island adventure extends an excellent game by more than enough hours to justify the price of the ticket.
When i read there was a offroad dlc for FH2, i was really disappointed. Its not what the game needs, there are still core game features missing from the game and it wasn't included in the car pass or vip pass. One thing makes me happy about this though, unlike non dlc rally/offroad racing, your actually driving on roads!
