Resident Evil Village is worth every cent. If you loved Resident Evil 7: Biohazard then you’ll be ecstatic about being able to step back into the shoes of Ethan Winters in this new title. This is a game that is worth every penny, offering up a great blend of horror and action alongside some superb character development.

Overall, there’s a lot to like about Resident Evil Village. The story and characters are great, most of the scenarios are fantastic fun to play, and when it hits best it rivals the top tier of the franchise. It’s a little too action heavy for my tastes, but even so that action is generally a lot of fun. Is it the best in the series? No. Is it still bloody good? One hundred percent. I’m cautiously excited to see where we go from here, and am already looking forward to a second playthrough.

While not without faults and with a strangely out of character last section, Resident Evil Village is simply one of the finest moments for the series, mixing together a wonderfully dark atmosphere with tense action and sweet morsels of horror and despair.

Resident Evil Village is an incredible piece of work, capable of keeping us glued to the screen for the entire story. Although there are some flaws that make it closer to an excellent game rather than a masterpiece, we recommend everyone to play it as it's a good product in almost all aspects, which could also make you approach the saga for the first time.

Resident Evil Village is a game that takes a risk and a new evolution of the concept of the series that Capcom started out with Resident Evil VII. Despite its flaws, Village is a great Resident Evil experience that will scare you and make you experience typical Resident Evil moments.

Resident Evil Village is a great game that embraces the elements of the series that we know and love while also carving out its own space nestled deep in dark fantasy. In fact, this game beautifully finds a middle ground to please existing fans of the franchise but also serves as a great entry point for new players.

Enjoyable in a mad, pantomime sort of way, Resident Evil Village feels like a pretty significant step back from Resident Evil VII, and a toe back into the absurd. It's a game you're unlikely to forget in a hurry, for entirely the wrong reasons.

    Some misconceptions about RE8!

    1. “Short game or it’s 8 hours only.” This is straight up WRONG. The game can easily take more than 12 hours to finish. Some even beat it in more than that. The in-game timer literally lies to you, if you’ve played 12 hours, it will tell you that you spent 7 or 8 hours. RE8 has more exploration and side optional in-game content more than any previous RE game. It’s easily one of the longest RE games. It’s got a perfect length for an RE game, not to mention that it has post-game content and good replay value.

    2. “It’s not scary.” hella WRONG! This game has different types of horror. From RE7 type of horror, to RE4 (panicking), and to Silent Hill / PT level of horror + other types. In fact, one section in the game has probably the scariest and creepiest moment in the entire franchise.

    3. “It’s RE4+RE7.” This is true, but it also has inspirations from almost every RE game. The game feels like it’s a celebration for RE’s 25th anniversary.

I’ve enjoyed my time playing it and I think it’s A MUST BUY for every RE fan or a survival horror fan.

    - Easily and by a huge margin, RE8 is the best looking RE game ever. It's INCREDIBLY detailed, well designed and STUNNING to look at.
    - Very atmospheric, and its got a lot of variety in that aspect as well.
    - Sound design is also the best in the series. The intro is horrifying!
    - From the first few hours, you'll quickly notice how big and diverse the game is.
    - Levels are intricately crafted, with more ways to explore them. Really liked how the village was structured with more ways to explore and search its houses.
    - The game INSANELY nails the interior design of its levels; I find myself stopping every 5 mins or so just to absorb the beauty of it all.
    - The game's setting really makes you feel like you're playing in a horror themed amusement park.
    - There is clear emphasis on exploration and side content.
    - The game allows you to take control of your own pacing at certain sections. It’s not really a linear game. It has more freedom and exploration than previous RE games as I mentioned before, which I liked very much!
    - The game does a really good job of changing its intensity from time to time. Presenting different types of horror along the way, mixing them up with action / adventure elements & sequences while still being within its survival horror medium. It’s well balanced, diverse and refreshing.
    - RE8 has some of the highest highs in the franchise. When it hits, it hits real good. :D
    - NO LOADING TIMES. That's a technical marvel considering the quality of its graphics, level design and performance. RE Engine strikes again!
    - Puzzles are fun and rewarding.
    - Backtracking here is the most fun and rewarding in all of the RE games.
    - Music is top tier.
    - The merchant is cool.
    - The story is intriguing and thrilling.
    - The characters are some of the best in the series. Really interesting, very well acted and fun to watch. Not including Ethan though lol, however he's honestly better this time.

    * Advice: if you're playing with a controller (consoles or on PC), turn off the movement camera acceleration and aiming camera acceleration settings. They somewhat introduce input delay and make the camera movement feel slow. Terrible settings!

Game can feel surprisingly open although which it comes to in the end is you running back and forth in the same location a few times to eitherGame can feel surprisingly open although which it comes to in the end is you running back and forth in the same location a few times to either get keys or tools to open other areas. It falls into the same area as RE7. But where it seems to change thing up is in the variety of actual boss combat. There are 5 Primary big bosses in the game. 4 of them you fight and one of them you play a game of hide and stab. On top of a good number of mini bosses. Depending of you go back to certain area these mini bosses can number in the area of in the ballpark area of 7 or 8. I could be off on that because I can't remember all of them at this time.

The game first opens up with another walk in to the woods just let the first game. What is much nicer about this game though it you get a bit more of the horror aspect as you start your first encounter. Sometimes the is a lul to the horror and action which are welcome. But at times there are some amazing horror moments thanks to situations like the second boss. Which I found to be the perfect amount of twist to bring into a game like this. SO thank you for that small switch up so I don't have to keep fighting all the time.

It is truly a step in the right direction for Capcom in regards to the RE7 along with using new technologies to makes the game look even more fantastic then the last installment. I can't wait to see what they do with the next game.
