From the title to the execution, this National Geographic presentation has the right stuff.
In telling the specific moving stories of a few men, The Space Race manages to provide such a rich perspective into their experience that it transcends its goals of shining a light on worthy lives and untold history, to entertain and educate.
The Space Race is an illuminating, absorbing film about an underreported storyline in our astronaut programs.
The real gem of this documentary are the incredible first person accounts from those who were there.
A theme running through the interviews is that for the U.S. government, sending a Black astronaut to space was more a matter of propaganda than racial justice.
