Kingdom Come: Deliverance is one of my favorite games, in which I've sunk 200 hours. I love the setting and the authenticity of medieval Bohemia, as well as the unique combat system. Each quest is distinctive; don't expect any generic nonsense. The DLCs, especially A Woman's Lot, are also superb.
It's a very detailed game, however I feel they made some poor design decisions for the sake of "realism" and sometimes you just have to balance it out to make it engaging and fun to play. Not a fan of the rng combat system, it's not skill based so if you block the game rolls code depending on your block skill to decide the percentage of the chance you will block. Same goes for virtually every other skill as well. The story and game world are awesome, it's really a good game but some mechanics are extremely frustrating.
You can do something for two hours, and then the game just drops to the start screen of the console. And it won't load anymore. Of course, there are no autosaves here. Bad optimization - I close my eyes. There are still a lot of problems - I close my eyes. But I have already been thrown out several times on the start screen of the console. Enough. If not, it would be 7/10 - definitely. Despite all the shortcomings.
KCD is great at RP and story telling, your actions feels valuable since the game give you so many choices to steer your characters development in different directions. Here is the "but", it is difficult. It is difficult for all the wrong reasons, NPC combo spre, almost impossible to steer weapons direction, finally beat the boss or NPC? well its bugged do it again, OPS! you weren't able skip the ambush when fast traveling? well i hope you saved because the 5 NPCs might do a perfect combo and kill you instantly. Did you just play for hours and got stuck? well thats all gone, LOAD FROM LAST SAVE!
SummaryKingdom Come: Deliverance is an open world, action-adventure, role-playing game featuring blockbuster production values, a nonlinear story and revolutionary, first-person melee combat.
