To my immense surprise, I haven’t fallen for a Zelda game like this since I played the The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (1991). Evidence of master craftsmanship is everywhere in this game. By the time you’re flipping a temple upside down then right side up, you may discover that your imagination has been enlarged.

After years of petitioning we have our Majora’s Mask remake, and it’s absolutely worth the time.

Purists will decry the changes made to Majora’s Mask no matter how slight they may be, but I am seated firmly in the “change is good” camp. It’s everything you remember, but without the boredom or frustration related to the passage of time.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the New Nintendo 3DS is a great remake, with many interesting changes from the original formula. Most of the new features work in a great way, offering a smooth and lovely gaming experience. Zora’s new swimming system is a little bit disappointing, clumsy and less fun than the original one. Both new players and fans of the original Nintendo 64 game should give this new Majora’s Mask the right amount of love.

There's no better way to keep you busy till the release of Zelda Wii U at the end of the year than The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D. It's perfect from a technical point of view and time seems to have had no impact on this masterpiece.

A great adaptation of one of the most loved Zelda of all times. 15 years have passed, but it's still a gorgeous game with a unique and uncanny atmosphere.

Its relative ease makes redoing the challenges very pedestrian, and worse yet, replaying the same dungeon also means reliving all the pre-faffing-about to get there. You have to endure many of the same conversations, cutscenes and menial tasks you already know of and know how to do. Regardless of what decade you played it in, that is not fun.

The visual overhaul,The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D is a magnificent remastering of one of the finest Legend of Zelda games to date. The visual overhaul, the streamlined features and other improvements make this version an even more enjoyable and accessible experience than the original N64 release. Minor flaws seem insignificant as the superb concoction of timeless game design truly shines: the unique gameplay ideas, the dark and haunting theme and a cleverly crafted game world — aspects that made the original so great — enable this updated version to provide a near flawless experience.

It's strange, perhaps, that a game in which the main premise revolves around repeatedly travelling back in time was so ahead of its time. In its enhanced form, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D defies its age and manages to stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the very best games on 3DS. Quite simply put, it's a masterpiece that every 3DS owner should play.

My favorite game next to Ocarina Of Time back when I had a Nintendo 64. Played both remakes now.
I really love every single thing the creators of the remake did to the games. Better character models, lighting, textures, more detailed geometry in environments and better animations. You can clearly see they took their time to make it look at it's best. And the final battle was just as I'd imaged, epic. With an updated Majora's mask boss model to make it look even more horrifying then it did. Conclusion? Simple, I give it a 10.

O jogo é sensacional, e seu único defeito é a falta de intuitividade inicial. Ótimo jogo, super recomendado, a experiência e emoção é a mesma de quando se joga no Nintendo 64, com a diferença que nesta versão ele cabe em seu bolso. Expand

The plot and sense of scale created by the NPCsThe Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is a breathtaking game that more people need to experience. The plot and sense of scale created by the NPCs is astounding even by 2015's standards.

The music and visuals are beautiful and the controls are very easy to use most of the time. While there are fewer dungeons this time around there are a lot more sidequest and these really bring the game to life; everyone has a schedule that they follow, creating a more dynamic characters that you truly want to save.

The time mechanic is probably the mot controversial part of both versions of Majora's Mask. There is an in game timer that gives you 3 days to save the world. At the end of the three days, you must travel back in time to keeping the world from ending. Some say this mechanic harms the game as the player feels rushed but I think that it works well. The ability to slow down and speed up time make this a non-issue.

Change have been made to the game and most of them are for the better. Everything looks and sounds better and the save system allows players to save more often now. There are more save points and can reload from an owl statue as many times as they want now. Some heart pieces and bottles have changed locations. I thought that this would be annoying but I enjoyed finding everything again.

While I was confused by some changes such as the location of the bank and the complete revamping of the Gyorg section on the moon.

The change that I didn't like was the bosses; each one now has a ridiculous massive eyeball for Link to attack and Gyorg and Twinmold have changed drastically. If it wasn't for the boss changes I would have given this game a 10/10.

Whether you have or haven't played Majora's Mask, you should give it try.

One of the most overrated and overhyped Zelda games of all time. Hipster trash.

This game was a Nintendo experiment to find out how little they can invest in making a new "AAA" game and getting away with it. On the N64 it just recycled and re-arranged all the assets of Ocarina of time, with minor additions/alterations. They didn't want to waste time making new levels, so they introduced a ton of backtracking and justified it with a "turn back time" gimmick. They padded a very small game to last for many boring and frustrating hours. Then called it "innovation".

Suprisingly, it failed back then. I say suprisingly, because Nintendo fans aren't known for being smart or having good taste in games, in general. After all, if they knew any better, they wouldn't have bought a N64 in the first place, for just 2-3 good games. Still, it was so sh1t it failed and was forgotten.

Then, as it always happens with hipsters and with the help of some manufactured hype after the Ocarina 3DS remake, somehow opinions that Majora's mask was an underrated gem surfaced. Counting on kids having never played the original back in the day, and adults having forgotten.

And we got this, in the same way we got it on the N64: A recycled game from Ocarina of time 3DS. With some improvements to hide the fact that this game is a polished POS.

Games like this are the equivalent of taking a turd, puting a ribbon on it, placing it on a museum and calling it "modern art". Hipsters should buy it 5x times in order to learn, the rest of us should play better games. Avoid.
