At the end of the day, I love AC3. I know that I’m not the average player, having studied the Marquis de Lafayette at a college level, but I love sinking hours into Ubisoft’s version of colonial America, where the oft-overlooked make the most important choices of all. Also, I can attack as many Redcoats as I want, with the only consequence being a city-wide manhunt. With this fresh coat of paint, Assassin’s Creed III has never been more fun—providing you enjoyed it in the first place.
Assassin's Creed III Remastered offers high quality and remains a compelling experience. I have no doubt - it's the best remaster this series has gotten thus far. The developers managed to deliver more than just higher resolution, but then some aspects still seem somewhat undercooked.
This is one of the greatest game I ever played on the Assasin's Creed Saga...This game has a good story and gameplay and has an amazing atmosphere and represents the era perfectly.
The Two Protagonist are well written and also the proganist Desmon Miles is written good he grew up with us and had marvelous experencies with his **** gameplay parkour is still improve after 5 **** my opinion the negative reviews about this gameare no sense I dindt have any problems about this remastered
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is a worthy opportunity to revisit one of the most undervalued games in the series. Despite its imperfections, the world that Ubisoft created 7 years ago manages to preserve its magic. An experience that has been reinforced by a set of technical and playable improvements that accompany this new version.
Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered, without correcting the major structural problems of the original, is still a recommended title as a complete edition of a way of making games that Ubisoft no longer implements.
Beside the visual enhancements and some tweaked mechanics this game still suffers from the same donwfalls as the original one, players who didn't play the original may enjoy the plentiful content and the Tyranny of King Washington DLC.
Assassin's Creed III remastered contains a lot of content and you will definitely enjoy playing it. Still it still feels like a game which was released years ago. Not a must have, rather a nice to have.
Even a high-quality remaster such as this can’t hide the fact that Assassin’s Creed III is too much a product of its time and has little to offer modern gaming.
(only gave it 10 in a feeble attempt to improve the clearly impulsively made 0 scores lol. Actual score... 7- to to generous.... 5.5 or 6.5 out of 10)
Can't help but feel most of these reviews are just pre-existing hate for the game, rather than whether it objectively improved in terms of visuals and mechanics (... can't change the preexisting shorting comings of story, character, .. etc in a remaster of game that was never well received). While it hardly stands among the best remasters, its no where near as objectively worsening the game (... than it already did to itself in its original release) like the Ezio Collections (my gosh... that one NPC face from hell in the first opening scene with ezio and that gang, you all know what I'm talking about), but it did enhance the visuals noticeably and made some minor tweaks to gameplay: my god, the expansion in the crafting system definitely a welcome addition. Then little subtle tweaks to certain stealth and combat mechanics that made it better.
Nothing groundbreaking, and doesn't change it from being the fundamentally mediocre game it was (Black Flag was the one to properly implement that innovative changes in the series more properly), but nevertheless, visually improved and a mildly/moderately smoother gameplay
.... otherwise its still one of (if not) the weakest games in the **** we all know we're only tempted to go back to AC3 for the brutally satisfying Tomahawk combat lol.
Youre better off replaying Black Flag, if any AC's after Ezio (where the series went down hill after, Black Flag aside)
I originally started playing this on the PS4 and gave up about 7 hours in finding it a very glitchy and buggy affair. A year later on the PS5 and either because of patches, or the hardware it was a much better experience.
Graphically it looks great considering its age. It is somewhat let down by the combat and parkour which is massively dumbed down in comparison to the Ezio trilogy and later titles, but it works for what it is. Having already played Black Flag (And Rogue) I actually enjoyed the story as it filled in a lot of gaps and also gave us a what happened next. (I do think the trio are much better played in chronological order as opposed to release order)
Overall a solid if not spectacular title that sets up the scene nicely for Black Flag.
Assassin's Creed III: Remastered: 7/10
The movements and animations are much improved, they are very good, a big leap in quality, everything is more dynamic. Still, the gameplay can be a little slow at times. The remastering doesn't do it justice, especially in terms of colours and textures, not to mention the modelling of the faces. Connor will unfortunately go down in the saga without glory, he has zero charisma and he's a bore to boot.
Assassin's Creed III: Liberation: 6/10
It took me more than 6 restarts to finish the story in this fast-paced, glitch-ridden game. This game was not made in Montreal and was released before. Disappointing, but still a good basis for an AC.
Game was playable but boring and lackluster. Open world felt dead and the characters were generic. I was excited for the North American setting of this game but was disappointed. Found myself just waiting for the game to end. Do not recommend.
SummaryRelive the American Revolution or experience it for the first time in Assassin's Creed III Remastered, with enhanced graphics and improved gameplay mechanics. Plus, Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered and all solo DLC content are included.
