Shadow Heritage is slightly more fun to play than Hunted was, but some weird narrative decisions undo a lot of the character progression from the main campaign and totally expose the illusion of player choice.
Shadow Heritage is another fine addition to Assassin's Creed Odyssey. It's an improvement over the previous episode thanks to more engaging quests and better character interactions, but for a game that likes to remind us that player choice is a key part of the experience, the forced ending of Episode 2 is undeniably disappointing. Still, we're looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up in the third and final instalment.
With this second episode, The Legacy of the First Blade knifes all the roleplay Ubisoft spent dozens of hours to build in a three-hour short and highly questionable story. Even the great battleships and a brand new weapon will not save Assassin's Creed Odyssey from this wrongly twisted cliffhanger that might disappoint most adventurers out there.
When the writers of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey decided to suddenly turn Kassandra into a housewife, they betrayed the person they’d spent so much time and care creating. They made her into a cutout for a hackneyed plot.
2 part of addition turned out much better than the first. Here only the first was awful, and the second is made just at the average level. In general it was possible and to give a mark below, but developers chose not the boring region of action, it is differently more interesting than sad Macedonia. And though the ending with peaceful life pleased me. There are 2 disappointments. The first this when you choose to remain with new friends or to continue the travel. Naturally I chose the first option. But as there was later this choice anything does not influence. Logically, it is Ubisoft, but not CD Projekt Red. 2 that rasstoroit - seamlessness of transition of an episode to the third, final part. I played the 3rd episode, thinking that it is the epilog the 2nd part. And I already thought that Ubisoft decided to spot it at Rockstar with the epilog of RDR2. Sadly of course at games of Ubisoft with direction, some creative impotence.
The second piece of the Legacy of the First Blade DLC is pretty much just more of the first piece of DLC. Give it a miss if you haven't enjoyed anything so far. Also big story moment which really brings the game down. Pretty much makes all the choices you've made so far feel pointless.
As i said about first episode. This DLC is worthy of buying only in case of buying Season pass in SALE.
Otherwise its waste of money. Its short, offers a little bit more of story than first episode, but in the end its not good.
Few more bad guys "cultists" to kill, little bit of story development.
I´m going to lower my rating... first episode was a little bit more better.
Very bad 4/10.
