Superb zombie-slaying combat and enjoyable motorcycle gameplay are integrated perfectly with a well-paced story. But the game’s major highlights are the terrifying zombie hordes which are unlike anything seen in a videogame so far.
For better or for worse, Day Gone exceeds expectations. Bend Studio focuses heavily on the plot of its latest work, sometimes even at the expense of the gameplay, forced to adapt to the narrative needs of the survival game. Despite this, Days gone is still a very unique experience, thanks to its extremely recognizable personality shining through.
Just love the game, nice to play, love the crafting system, choice of weapons/bike mods etc, keeps me fully interested unlike many other triple A games with vast open worlds.
Taking down camps, it's great fun with your choice of stealth or going in 'Full Rambo', can never get enough of it, gives me the Ghost Recon Wildlands vibes which I also loved.
The remaster has brought more to the table with its new game modes and graphically the game is stunning.
Played through the story multiple times and always wish it wouldn't end.
Yes, it has some glitches, there aren't many games that don't these days.
Hoping to see a sequel at some point, I hope they can improve/come up with new ideas without killing it like what the Dying Light team managed to do for many of their fans (me included).
Possibly my favourite modern game over the past couple of console generations, I've played all the top titles that have arrived but none of them seem to get me repeating play throughs like Days Gone.
With jaw-dropping graphics, fantastic music, great gameplay, likeable characters - and terrifying hordes - it is hard to tell that Days Gone is Bend Studios first truly big-budget game. Even though the game is not as polished as the best first party games from Sony, it still might end up as one this year’s best single player experiences.
The game has weak shooting systems and some bad weapons, much like Red Dead Redemption II. But while the other games have been highly rated, Days Gone has had its legs cut out by the bugs.
Days Gone is a fine addition to the evergrowing list of first-party Sony exclusives. Does it have the shine and polish comparable to Naughty Dog's best works? No, but it delivers a dense and beautiful open world that proves that there's perhaps a little bit of elbow room left for zombies in gaming, even if we're not calling them that this time around.
Days Gone is a derivative but enjoyable action-adventure with a beautiful environment, using AI and physics to create exciting moments of procedural entertainment. But its familiar tale of mankind struggling to re-create society after the end of the world and its romantic through-line are haphazardly structured and under-written, and the characters are too busy calling each other sons of bitches and assholes to say or do anything moving, original or profound. This is a game of fun and fury – it’s thrilling at times, but it signifies nothing.
To be honest this is one of my favourites games that i have ever play. (I don't wanna say something which contains spoilers for those ones who doubt if buying days gone remastered, so i am going to be clever)
The gameplay is great but the story, the soundtrack or even the idea of having rainy days in an apocalyptic world is outstanding, i am expecting the second part because without any kind of doubt i will buy it.

At launch, "Days Gone" had many issues. But after many updates, it improved considerably. While a bit derivative, "Days" is still plenty of fun. It's a 40-hour open-world action/survival game that plays like "The Last of Us" meets "Red Dead Redemption". But it's too bad the characters aren't that likable. Still, there's nothing like taking out a huge zombie horde. It's moments like those that make the game a real thrill. I would rate this with a 7.7 out of 10.
An extremely mediocre game, promised a lot of enemies, as a result, hordes meet a couple of times throughout the game. Unnecessary complications in the form of fuel, a dead and boring open world
SummarySet in the beautiful, volcanic scarred high-desert of the Pacific Northwest, Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game in which you assume the role of Deacon St. John, a Drifter and bounty hunter who would rather risk the dangers of the broken road than live in one of the “safe” wilderness encampments. The game takes place two yea...
