For the first time Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is a playable character and he even has his own voice. The fun is to play co-op, a big innovation in comparison to the previous Mickey game. Mickey and Oswald are a perfect team.
Just like its predecessor Epic Mickey 2 combines platforming and puzzles in a world divided into hubs between which you can travel by jumping into movie screens. With the brush you can repair or destroy structures, which sounds kind of goofy, but offers a ton of choices.[December 2012, p.62]
Even more lush and enjoyable than the **** only can you play as Mickey but this time you can control Oswald too! Again its a (varying) trip down memory lane, albeit with new gameplay mechanics and story line. If you have the PlayStation move then its just as fun as the Wii version, although gamepad lovers will have as much fun too (and will also wonder why Epic Mickey did not get a PS3/Xbox/PC release too!!!) Its such a crying shame that Epic Mickey 3 (or Epic Donald, for that matter) were in the pipeline, but never saw the light of day, otherwise it would have been a delicious trilogy, and new Donald Duck adventures for Disney fans.
Mickey is back to save The Wasteland and this time he's accompanied with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. The game is filled with nostalgia, Disney magic, great voice acting and song, but is also colored by it's slow pace, tricky camera and level confusion. Still, The Power of 2 is a solid platformer, even with its frustrations.
Epic Mickey 2 smacks of the brilliant game designer many of us admire as Spector attempts to redefine what has defined his great games for years within the confines of a world that can't really allow it. The end result is it's a compromise that, by default, isn't able to wholeheartedly please anyone. [Christmas 2012, p.72]
Great game!!!!!!!! I think it is way better than the original . Co-op play, more levels, better graphics and level designs. Also voice acting and musical parts are so great. Overall its really a great ps3 mickey game.
Epic Mickey 2 is an average game. The story is very poor and not at all epic! There are several glitches especially with Oswald, whitch makes difficult to enjoy the game when Oswald doesn't collaborate. The game play is simple and boring, even exploring the Wasteland isn't that fun...like I said is a average game that unfortunately was not that fun to play.
How they could possibly make a sequel worse than the original is beyond me. The voices are bad, the musical part is bad, the co-op is horrible and the levels... Well, let's just say they aren't much better. Truly a shame, considering the franchise had so much potential.
This game made me nauseous, the camera is terrible and it's a huge letdown after the first one looked so great but somehow they made the game worse. The game felt bland and the additions to this one such as singing and voice acting added nothing to the game. Not worth your time.
