If you like games like Streets of Rage and you enjoy funny writing and leveling characters, then you’ll love this. For me, the pinnacle of the Brawler/RPG crossover.
What Dungeon Punks does is make almost every moment of the game enjoyable, even with those issues I mention above. If you can rationalize that there is more to Dungeon Punks than the faults and flaws, you'll see that there is a quality job in paying homage to a classic gametype that hasn't seen much use in years.
Despite a gorgeous art style and good attempt at RPG progression, both the gameplay and interface are just too clunky to make Dungeon Punks stand out from the crowd.
What we have is a game that takes inspiration from a classic genre years, before and while doing nothing very original with the idea, still provides a good time.
So this is what you get if you mix Castle Crashers, Guardian Heroes and Odin Sphere. But even though you feel right at home with its Golden-Axe’ish feel this in the end is as forgettable as the story.
The best word I can use is probably ‘clunky’, but putting it rather bluntly, Dungeon Punks controls as well as a dead horse.

Summary Dungeon Punks is a multiplayer side-scrolling brawler RPG with a unique tag-team system that allows each player to control two heroes at once, while managing and controlling a full party of up to six heroes. The adventure can be enjoyed cooperatively by up to three players via couch co-op, or solo with computer-controlled teammates.
