If you are more of a single player gamer like me, don’t let the online nature of Fallout 76 put you off… it’s eminently playable as a single player experience. If you are put off by the issues mentioned at the start then maybe steer clear (or at least wait to see if patches address your concerns), otherwise I’d say grab the Deathclaw by the horns and jump in (but maybe wait till you have powerarmour to do that.).
Fallout 76 retains the same captivating immersion, atmosphere and organic exploration that made Fallout 4 so enjoyable thanks to an excellent open world, though you’ll have to contend with a poorly implemented online component and the typical Bethesda technical hiccups and rough edges.
I have played over 2000 hours, and I love the game, reason is live service online team with players play on public events, visiting player's camps, storyline and side quests are good, able to turn PVP off in setting, activities are always keep going and never ending, infinite fun. I love the emotes. I have noticed that a lot of people giving negative reviews, they are misunderstanding about this game. Yes, this game does have microtransaction, but so does Fallout 4 creation club, and it's just optional. No point to complain about having nice and cool cosmetic stuffs from atomic shop. Atomic stuffs are carried over on each new characters on the same account are the pro. When I see all the negative reviews are laughable to me. I played over 2000 hours and the game is the best game I ever play. I love how camp set up anywhere I want around Appalachia. I love this game, man! Thank you Bethesda for making this game and all the updates and patches.
I do understand that this game **** from the start and i said to myself that i would never buy it or play it.
I was watching a stream **** playing a bit and had to try it now that it cost almost nothing.
And what can i say its amazing after so many patches.
i dont think i have had this much fun in a game in 10+ years "Skyrim" im 3 weeks in and have put over 180 hours in this game becose im home sick.
You can play it singelplayer if you want but if you play it multiplayer it only gets better.
Only thing they need to do now is remove the overpowerd legacy weapons so new players have a chans to do any damage on a boss before its dead.
But if you are new and like Skyrim/Fallout3/4 then try it. it is good now.
It’s easy to be critical with Fallout 76. The flaws are so easy to see that it has every single chance to be this year’s best meme in gaming. But if you enjoy multiplayer experiences with plenty of loot and a great leveling system, you can have a nice time cleaning up its radioactive wilderness.
Fallout 76 meant to change the very concept of the series, but turned out to be a complete disaster. The game is not only boring and empty, but sometimes simply unplayable.
After the first few hours of Fallout 76, you can expect a lot of the same mission types over and over again. Playing with friends is ideal, but it cannot overcome the constant repetition. Base-building and undiscovered locations serve to be the best portions of this radioactive mess.
Fallout 76’s mundane quest and lifeless story put too much weight on the aged combat and trivial crafting for them to bear. It’s a multiplayer experiment with far too many flaws to put up with, both in its limiting player interactions and its woeful technical polish. Fallout with friends is still an idea that could work one, but that’s not what Fallout 76 is serving up.
I dreaded every hour I had to keep playing Fallout 76 for review. As soon as the game was beginning to teeter on fun or interesting, a bug or a frustrating gameplay design element would quickly remind me that the game was otherwise.
Bethesda released Fallout 76 full of bugs as money grabs, and damage so much their reputation that they stopped investing in Fallout franchise.
Nonetheless Fallout 76 is worth playing as solo player. It reminds of Fallout 4 but with a significant bigger map.
Many bugs and patches, left the game terribly unbalanced to play with others. I'll skip the MMO part.
FO76 ran like an asthmatic pig uphill on PS4. However it runs pretty dreamy on PC. Personally I liked everything that FO76 had to offer except one thing a major deal breaker. The base game stash limit is a measly joke of 1,200 lbs. Not 1,200 items, but 1,200 numbered in weight. Ok back off to play FO4 for the umpteenth time. No problems hording to my hearts content in that one.
