The young Prince did a superb job, but amidst the darkened clouds he's aged with some style and the beautifully excessive fighting system creates a much-improved character and a better all-round game. [XBM]
A great game with absolutely stunning visuals, intriguing gameplay, and a cool story, but it may not be everybody's cup of tea in terms of its new dank look or hard-edged feel.
Ubisoft took a gamble by taking the Prince to a dark place. I don't think it paid off as the sense of magic, seen even in the old 2D PC days, is barely present here. It wasn't the wrong decision to make for a darker story, but Ubisoft took it too far.
As a member of a series that takes a treasured place in the pantheon of gaming greatness, it is a lackluster effort, more concerned with watering down the game's strengths to make it more palatable for the masses than in delivering more of what made its predecessor great.
Largely missed opportunity. Those who loved the original for its setting and style will be disappointed and put off by the direction the series has taken.
Di gran lunga il migliore della trilogia uscita sulla prima Xbox, nonché miglior action/platform di sempre, altro che quella schifezza di troia raider gioco per bambini deficienti
I recently revisited the game Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, a title I first encountered back in 2006 during my childhood. Now, 18 years later, I've played it again and it's just as thrilling as I remembered. The game holds up remarkably well, offering a blend of nostalgia and excitement that few games can match. The sensation of being chased by the Dahaka remains one of the most intense and frightening experiences in gaming. The game's graphics, mechanics, and storyline are all top-notch, contributing to an immersive and engaging experience. It's fascinating to see how well the game has aged, still providing a solid and enjoyable challenge. However, it's not without its flaws. One notable issue is the game's camera angles, which can sometimes shift unexpectedly to inconvenient positions, potentially disrupting the flow of gameplay. Despite this, the game's strengths far outweigh its minor shortcomings. I give Prince of Persia: Warrior Within an 8 out of 10. It's a fantastic game that I highly recommend to both new players and those looking to revisit a classic. Its blend of action, story, and atmosphere is something truly special, and it remains a standout title in the gaming world.
The second of a series of action-platforming games that are more than the sum of their parts--despite their extremely linear and repetitive design.
Part of a Prince of Persia reboot trilogy (of sorts,) these games were loads of fun for their time. The characters, atmosphere and acrobatics still hold up today--even if there are few other reasons to ever replay them.
