Naruto X Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is undoubtedly the most complete and extensive game of the worldwide popular anime hit to date. Although there are no major innovations, fans and, of course, all those who want to become fans can pick it up without hesitation thanks to the large roster, two story campaigns and beginner-friendly action gameplay.
NARUTO X BORUTO Ultimate Ninja STORM CONNECTIONS feels like an unambitious game that focuses on improving its predecessor and introducing a few changes. While the combat system can be chaotic and confusing, it offers a lot of fun. The overall product serves as a worthy celebration of the legacy of anime's most famous ninja.
While Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections introduces some new elements compared to Storm 4, the game leaves the impression that it could be a DLC for its predecessor. The noteworthy aspects of the package include a substantial roster of playable characters, a variety of customization items, and the engaging "Special Story" mode.
Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is the best way to experience the story of Naruto, both for long-time fans as well as beginners. Naruto's story mode offers a host of content in itself, and the versus mode can be plenty of fun if you have friends that like the series. Just don’t expect much in the way of actual gameplay depth.
When based on combat alone, Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections maintains the success maintained throughout the series. Unfortunately, very little accompanies it in this package, with the only worthy exception being a short but sweet Special Story exclusive to this game. A solid discount would make buying this game worthwhile.
Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is built on the solid foundation of Storm games that came before it. But it fails to truly set itself apart. Between the lack of innovation, numerous issues at launch, and average story modes, Naruto x Boruto ends up feeling unfinished. While the fighting is fun in its own right, this game still needs a fair amount of polish.
Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is ultimate in name only. While the title bills itself as the most comprehensive release in the series, that is only true for its impressive cast of over 130 fighters. On the other hand, as for its story mode... between a minimally regressive setting, absent major boss fights and above all an original story that is not very interesting, there is reason to be frankly disappointed. Ultimately, only fans of the franchise determined to play online will find what they are looking for by taking advantage of the generous roster and the gameplay that is still as effective despite the years. For others, we advise you to turn to the first four episodes, which are available on all platforms and often at a low price, to better enjoy the story of Naruto.
I have seen a lot of reviews saying it's basically just a copy and paste of the older games. I'm not necessarily going to disagree with them, but what did you expect? Mortal Kombat is a copy and paste. All of duty is a copy and paste. Final fantasy is a copy and paste. Basically every game series adds like to me features with each new game.
A lot of these reviews also complain about. I don't know really just the boss fight switch. To be honest, I've played every one of the ninja storms. I played all the budokai's I've played just about every anime game there is. Boss fights never really feel like boss fights. It's just you fighting another character from the serious. Not updating the older characters moves is a little ridiculous. I'll give you that. But other than that like why are you even worried about the story? It's just anime and the manga that you've seen in read, you already know the story, just enjoy the fighting. If you haven't seen the buruto series then I guess You're kind of missing out on the story with this game, but other than that same story, it's just fun to play the characters and hitting somebody with a chidori or resengan.
The gameplay and the special story are really great! Love the effort that went into the new story and the animations <3 It's just the "History Mode" that, well, ****. The game would have been a 10/10 if the scenes from the intro were included, and "History Mode" fights and scenes would have gotten an update. Sadly, it's just some pics and most fights (if included) are basic battles. They could have at least copied and pasted the big fights and cutscenes from the previous games instead of the slideshow we got.
it's a 20 dollar DLC with downgraded gameplay / voice acting put as a full priced game.
I'm a massive naruto fanboy and this is a slap in our face.
only thing that felt note worthy is the new story mode but had no quick time events, too easy fights, and very short 3-4 hours.
Connections is exactly what anime gamers keep accepting and that's another mediocre anime game. I'm a fan of Naruto but with the lack of content, lack of private lobbies, and the lack of effort just put in to many areas of the game. I can't recommended getting this full price. Please start valuing your dollar as a consumer and stop accepting bad business because that's what you'll continue to receive from these companies if you continue to buy these unfinished games.
Summary The next exciting entry in the STORM series celebrates the 20th anniversary of Naruto's anime debut. Connections features the largest roster out of all Naruto Ultimate Ninja STORM series!
