Plainly put, this is one of the best games available on the Gamecube to date. Though not quite as challenging as Superstar Saga (or most RPG's in general), Paper Mario 2 manages to remain wholly engaging from beginning to end.
There are loads of savory things to do in this paper-made world that's funny, and original, and just solid by any and all means.

Story and erveyrthing is fine. I like the game. I wish every paper mario could be playable with this features!

While this isn't a hardcore title, the puzzles and numerous battles will keep serious gamers busy for some time. Paper Mario is easy to play, exceptional fun, and a thoroughly engaging title.

It's a testament to the diversity of the medium that in a season marked by realistic, violent and often grim video games like "GTA," "Halo 2" and "Def Jam: FFNY," a game like Paper Mario can be so willfully charming, harmless and child-friendly in appearance and still make for a compelling, sophisticated experience.

One of the standouts in the Gamecube’s library and one of Nintendo’s best RPGs. The story surprisingly has substance for a Mario title and is complimented with a charming script. The game isn't too challenging but it will throw some curveballs at you especially the final boss. Those hungry for a challenge can opt to try the pit of 100 trials which adds a test of endurance and a difficult boss as the end of the trial.
The Battle system in this game is certainly a cut above other entries in the series and is more refined than its prior entry Paper Mario 64. Like it’s predecessor, the battle system in TTYD is given more depth through equip-able badges and can add more layers of strategy and variety to the gameplay.
Truly one of the Gamecube’s crown jewels and an experience I can’t wait to revisit in the remake.

This game is kind of overrated. But, that doesn't mean it's bad. The battle system is a bit complicated, albeit fun. So what is my problem? The issues are that this game is difficult when it doesn't need to be, it can be really tedious to have to constantly backtrack, the music is just ok, the level design isn't the best, and I think you get the point now. Behind all these flaws is a good game, just not a game as good as it's often made out to be.
