Champions of Regnum boasts some big and enticing features. With Realm vs Realm being its main source of player retention, it aims to bring a huge dynamic player-driven battlefield to the MMO market. With these big goals set in place Regnum strives to achieve a large player base. Unfortunately it doesn’t. Its overall lackluster gameplay, unbalanced systems and chore-like grind make for a mundane and slow-plodding experience. If you’re looking for a Realm vs Realm MMO to play there are plenty of others out there. You’d be much better off playing the older and yet less archaic Dark Age of Camelot.
I find Regnum more enjoyable than DAOC. It has more modern and more beautiful gfx and artwork, and it still has really good RvR. In the last few years, the devs have really stepped up their game. Live rankings in game, removal of pay to win (basically, all boss items can largely be won by grinding on player kills), roughly 300% boost to xp by way of Realm Taskboard, Squid Island mini RvR for low level players.... and still the careful and very fun pvp which is not really available outside of DAOC, Regnum and probably NWN from 2002.

This game is great if you are willing to reveal weak graphics and difficulty passing some levels. The RvR system compensates for this, very fierce combat by enemy castles to give you the power to invade the PvE area on the other kingdom guarantee emotion.
The game piece very graphic, at various times the quests can be dull and the interface is not pretty, but it's still a great game, with some unique concepts, regular events, etc.
CoR is a MMO that is focused around RvR combat. It's is F2P, but it is a rare case, being that it is NOT pay to win. Music is so-so, PvE and "the grind" is pretty boring, and there is no crafting or anything like that. That's fine, if you don't care about that. Where this game shines is in RvR combat. You will see literal armies of people from each faction battling it out to take control of towers, gems, etc. I would suggest just seeing this game for what it is, which is a narrowly-focused RvR game, instead of comparing it to games like WoW. If you want a bit of everything, then play something else.. But if you're looking for massive battles with an emphasis on strategy and teamwork, then you can't beat this game. It's free, so try it out for yourself.
This is an OK MMORPG there is a lot of content and nice focus on combat PVP. However, there are a lot of bugs, the AI is very bad the quest design is boring and uninteresting just like WoW but worse, the combat feels awkward, and finally the game is basically just pay to win, you can buy 500% XP bonus which is just over the top.
To be fair, I didn't give the game much of a chance. When loading it up I had expectations of somewhat of a spiritual successor to Dark Age of Camelot's glory days of RvR combat, but was sorely disappointed by the class system and user interface. Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but there's not even a keystroke to cycle between targeting the nearest enemies. I wish I could have stuck it out and given the RvR a shot, but straight out of character creation I was severely underwhelmed by how difficult it was to interact with the game world.
The game has serious problems. The Haven server has such a low population that unbalanced realm populations make the game very much not fun any more.
The game still has horrendous bugs. While NGD continues to develop minor content changes, they have yet to address existing incorrect content. Moreover, NGD appears to favor one of the realms over all the others (why this should be, I have yet to understand. Perhaps the developers have characters in that realm).
As a result, I must again take a leave of absence from the game. It's a pity, though; the game has tremendous potential.
Pros: dedicated user base, multiple platform clients
Cons: mind-numbing grind, unclear rules, nothing being done about cheats and hacks, apparent developer favoritism, outdated graphics, misplaced collision boxes, continuing unfixed bugs
