With its convenient gameplay mechanics and detailed design, time easily flies while playing this enjoyable game.

Crashlands has heart and soul in spades. It is capricious, engrossing, and highly addictive. It has such a pleasant mix of genres that it can be appealing to a wide variety of gamers, not just the ones who enjoy a good craft. Its flaws, like the slow start and smudgy menus, are small and easily overlooked.

Its outer layer may appear light and fluffy, but its innards are serious and in-depth, and anyone who enjoys exploration and adventure with a light smattering of combat should definitely investigate this game.

A more story-driven take on the gather & build genre, Crashlands wears its inspirations boldly, but gets away with it.

Crashlands unfolds a structured progression and ongoing story in a branch of games that often feels too freeform for many players; that framework is what makes this the crafting game that could finally appeal to those who’ve never grasped the genre’s charms.

Fun combat, great writing, and a great look, but with pacing and progression tuned for a mobile experience, not the PC.

Mediocre, yet imaginative, Crashlands is a game for those with a strong stomach for repetitive gameplay and oddball humor.

The music and the vibe of the exploration, and just general interactions within the game, make for an amazing combination that just makes you feel good for even looking at the game in action. Big fan of the art style, as well.

Overall -- I'm not very interested in crafting games, but this was so much more than that. It's an exploration adventure game, with a humorous narrative, action-RPG systems, and a penchant for making me smile the whole time that I'm playing.

Heavy recommendation on both mobile and PC. Well worth your time and money.

While the story mayCrashlands is a phenomenal Action Sandbox Rpg, that any gamer should try out if they want to have a great and wacky time. While the story may not be the most interesting ever created, the humor of the game will leave you in stitches quite often. This humor makes the main character very personable and adds a lot to the gameplay. The game centers around gathering resources and building everything from decorations to new weapons that come with randomized special abilities. The gameplay is fun and though, you won't be expecting to one shot anything until you have put a solid amount of time into the game. The game has a lot to do, and it seldom ever gets boring. Crashlands is visually beautiful the art design looks wonderful, very similar to a modern-day cartoon which adds a lot to the atmosphere. Overall Crashlands is one of the best games I have played on PC in a long time and maybe my personal favorite indie game of al time because of how well developed the game is.

    Cons
    The soundtrack is forgettable.

One minus point for kinda buggy quest markers and occasionally confusing dialogue and directions.

I recommend you try the harder difficulties for that dark souls feeling.

Sometimes you gather materials from static positions, and sometimes it's from monsters' cooling corpses.

    THE GOOD:
    - You can play co-op with a friend.
    - The dialog is pretty funny.
    - It was fun for a few hours!

    THE BAD:
    - This game got really tedious after a few hours. Uninstall!
    - The quests are very simple fetch quests. Get X of this or Y of that. Plant a sign there. They clearly go on forever as you receive a new quest the moment you finish the old one.
    - You have to hit monsters all day long to kill them, dodging their attacks the whole time. This is even more tedious that walking everywhere trying to find materials to harvest.
    - The boss monsters aren't more interesting to fight, they just take longer. Much longer...

    THE UGLY:
    - The quests are not always very clear.
    - E.g. you have to plant a flag in a very particular spot for it to achieve the mission objective, but when you return to the NPC they just refuse to accept that you succeeded and won't clarify what you you've done wrong.
    - E.g. you get told to go to a place but it doesn't appear on your map. You have to zoom out to be able to see the destination, but this is not obvious to a beginner.
