"If you are more of a single player gamer like me, don’t let the online nature of Fallout 76 put you off… it’s eminently playable as a single player experience. If you are put off by the issues mentioned at the start then maybe steer clear (or at least wait to see if patches address your concerns), otherwise I’d say grab the Deathclaw by the horns and jump in (but maybe wait till you have powerarmour to do that.)." ... "I don't think I've ever had a game in the test that was so difficult to judge. It doesn't grip properly, but Fallout 76 makes me feel very contradictory. On the one hand, I really enjoy the game world, the exploration and all the stories told here. But I'm also someone who can get involved with this indirect way of telling stories. I can understand that for many this doesn't work without NPCs and dialogues. But I enjoy reading the different diary entries and listening to the holobands. On the other hand, the poor technical condition of the game really annoys me a lot. The poor performance despite average graphics quality is hard to understand. You can and must expect more from a modern game in 2018." ... Read full review

"In an effort to do everything, Fallout 76 fails to do any of it well enough to form an identity. Its multiplayer mindset robs its quests of all the moral decisionmaking that makes the series great, and all that’s left is a buggy mess of systemic designs that never seems to work together and regularly contradicts itself." ... Plenty of enemies and also hard to beat, i suggest this game if you love the fallout universe,
Forgot, in the beginning the game was really full of bugs, but now they are nearly all fixed.

I've experienced very few bugs and glitches, I've had zero disconnects and zero crashes so far, and the game has run very well on my rig. I run an i5 8600k, GTX 1070ti, 16gb memory and the game is installed on an SSD.

Will it run this well for YOU? It might. It might not. The game *does* have quite a few bugs which you may or may not experience. Bethesda has made some questionable design choices, and whether you are a player who is able to adapt to the design choices is ultimately on you.

The controls could use more customization options on PC, but the things that can't be changed only took me a couple of minutes to adapt to and haven't detracted from my enjoyment of the game in the least.

The graphics options should have been more robust from the start, but I've adapted to this by making the changes I want in the games .ini files. Beyond the 3 minutes that took, I haven't had any gripes with the graphics.

I've seen some people saying this game, graphically, looks like a Playstation 2 game.... I haven't the slightest idea of how someone could *seriously* come to this absolutely absurd conclusion, but welcome to the internet I guess, where 9 times out of 10 things are blown way out of proportion for the sake of seeming sensational. The graphics look fine to me. I've never needed the most cutting edge graphics to enjoy a game. So, while it doesn't have the graphical fidelity of a game such as "The Witcher 3" or "Red Dead Redemption 2", it looks just fine. Whether this is an issue to you or not is ultimately on you.

The gameplay has been a lot of fun. Gunplay feels good, so does melee. Combat feels fine from my perspective. Aiming controls are fine, and melee combat feels fine. Overall, the way you move, aim and play the game does feel mostly like Fallout 4, which is cool with me, as I loved Fallout 4.

Some enemy AI could use some work here and there. Most of the time enemies react how you'd expect them to, and other times they're dumb as rocks. It isn't a big enough issue to hurt my overall experience of the game.

I like how you have to find plans to make new weapons and armor, and you have to break down weapons and armor to learn how to make mods for that specific type of weapon or armor. Having to find plans incentivizes exploration, which I think is a good thing.

There are a lot of locations to discover and explore. I've discovered the majority of them, but am nowhere close to actually fully *exploring* each location. I'm easily going to get at least another 60 hours out of this game.

I really like the CAMP system. I build my camp to be functional and battle ready opposed to making it look "pretty". I'm a function before form kind of guy. I like to place my camp in difficult locations with frequent enemy presence because it gives my turrets something to do, and can be a fairly good way to get EXP and loot.

On the topic of the CAMP system, some things could use some polish and tweaking here and there, but overall for me it's been good. I also wish there was a way to broadcast your CAMPs location to other players on the map.

The public workshop system is cool. The fact that you are given a good supply of free resources to use for building it up is great, instead of having to immediately dip into your own resources. I see a lot of people taking issue with the fact that they "feel pointless" because when you disconnect from the game, you lose your claim on any public workshops you've had. I understand why this is the case, so it doesn't bother me in the least. The resources were free, and I enjoy building, so I simply look at it as enjoyable content. Having to build a public workshop again is a non-issue for me.

I'm not going to go into great detail about each bug that is present in the game, or each questionable design choice Bethesda has made. Very few of these things have actually affected me, and it's just not worth the time. I will reiterate that *yes*, bugs ARE present in the game. You may experience very, very few like me, or you may experience a lot. The game DOES need polish so that it's a good experience for everyone, not just the lucky people like me.

Hell, even to a player like me who has had a great experience, polish is still needed. While I think the game is very good, it's not "GREAT", which is why I have only given it an 8 out of 10. It could have been much better.

Luckily, Bethesda is going to be supporting this game for the foreseeable future, fixing bugs and adding content. This game has a HUGE amount of potential if they add content and make quality of life changes at a fair pace. Like... the extent of how cool this game could become boggles my mind. Bethesda just needs to follow through with the support they've stated they'll be giving it. If they do that I'll be playing it for a long, long time.

Loosing progress, not being able to kill enemies, bad PVP system that leaves you stuck with griefers annoying you. From the 25 hours i've got ingame and probably 20 hours waiting, trying to fix, redownloading the game i am still massively disappointed. I am a big Bethesda fanboy outright, but right now i feel cheated on having pre-ordered a broken concept game for 60$. If it was called "Fallout Online" and had a max price of 15$ maybe 20$ i would be able to let it slide by my heart, but even trying it still stabs me every time i see or hear about it. Truly sad and my only hope right now is that their massive damage control since launch will make them realize what's needed to make a great game that doesn't use 90% of their last game. in other words, a new or upgraded engine. (Upgraded as in 100x more than what they've done) If that's even possible. Expand

What we didn't knew is that Bethesda was eager to get into that train...
And i thought that Fallout 4 was a disgrace, this is not just the worst Fallout ever, but probably the worst project Bethesda ever created.
A repetitive and boring experience with not a single innovation, not worth of being called a Fallout game, with the incredible feature of allowing us to depress ourselves in company with our friends in multiplayer, how's that for a feature¿?

A horrible buggy mess as expected from Bugthesda, they also changed a lot of the lore from this 21 year old game series. They decided to do one of the most anti consumer things you can do to a game, make it online only and it backfired. Sorry to see you go fallout, it was fun while it lasted.
