As a landmark title that other games have trouble matching even now, The Witcher 3 flourishes on the Nintendo Switch. With an immense amount of absolutely engaging content, a meaningful narrative, and a meticulously designed world to explore, there’s no doubt about the quality of the game.
The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt on Switch is guaranteed to keep any commuting gamer occupied, and for those playing at home, it still does justice to the quality of this rip-roaring adventure.
This is a close tie with baldurs gate 3 for me, when it comes to greatest rpg of all time. I really cant pick one over the other, as they are very different in both combat and how you interact with npc and the world.
Both of them really is a must play, go with witcher 3 if you like action games with one main character instead of turn based party.
The only downside of this game is the lack of conversation patterns in NPCs. On the other hand, it's an advantage because if you had enough conversation patterns, you could have mistaken it for reality. It's a masterpiece that allows you to experience living in a fantasy world itself.
The mature content and somber approach of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition may put off some gamers, but it’s a can’t-miss game for those seeking an RPG with more bite and consequence (not to mention playable characters above the age of 15) than we normally get on Nintendo systems.
A great game is still a great game and this port is an absolute minimum to enjoy it. I only wonder what kind of audience is it really aimed at. [13/2019, p.80]
It's the full The Witcher 3 experience on Switch. Saber Interactive was forced to cut down plenty of graphics, but the whole experience is smooth and enjoyable. If you've never played The Witcher 3, it's a must.
Should you play The Witcher 3? Absolutely. It’s one of a handful of games from the past decade that you simply can’t miss. Should you play The Witcher 3 on the Switch? Honestly, probably not.
I wasnt on the Witcher boat when this game released. I love its world and all that it encompasses, but going back to it, I just cant get through the game. The mechanics of the game are not good. I get halfway through everytime and just get sick of the combat, the horseriding, the stair climging...
At the end of the day it brought us Gwent, which is possibly the best in game card game ever made.
Great port of a very good game.
Very good side quests, lots of decisions here and there. The only problems are week character progression system and dull battle system. On normal difficulty the whole game is not forcing you out of your comfort zone of quick attack and dodge. So action part of the game became very boring by the end of the story.
I wish I could say it's a good game, but it's not. It's full of things that make you go "why?!?".
Otherwise the biggest problem with the game is the complete lack of originality. It's just the same ol' free roaming game again, but it is behind even such old games as Morrowind. Items aren't really there, characters are not really there, the world is a mirage; largely lifeless, empty shell, filled with animated graphics, is all.
The controls are clunky, the fights are boring, the character development makes near as no difference, need I go on?
Want something interesting that looks better, works better, more alive? Go for Read Dead.
If you don't like the western theme, get an Elder Scrolls game; they walk all over this poor attempt anyday.
It's a shame, because the witcher's world is interesting, the story isn't bad; but I can't bear to wade through all the crap for that.
