The Matrix vibe is in full effect, and I can give you my personal guarantee that you won't be able to put it down until you've seen all the new footage. [June 2003, p.100]
  2. The game is by no means a weak attempt to cash in on a franchise...Gamers not only get tons of extra movie action but also get to run, kick, and shoot in a fully realized Matrix universe.
  3. Every single kung-fu move that I had hoped I could perform, I can. Every single slow motion cinematic I had hoped would be present, certainly is. And every single story detail I could have hoped for is present and accounted for.
  4. While Enter the Matrix ties in really well with the movie franchise, it isn’t much of a game.
  5. A prime example of a good idea gone bad. If it weren’t for the annoying controls and the ho-hum nature of the game it would actually have been pretty good, but as it stands unless you are a huge fan of the movies this game isn’t worth buying.

PS2 owners get the worst console version of a weak game.
  7. If anything is to be learned here, it's that the Wachowski Brothers are not gamers -- this title is proof of it. If they really were, they would never have allowed this mediocre title to have been released. The game is buggy, has bad graphics, and terrible controls.

It must be clear that this is the BEST Matrix videogame to date. Anyone who disagrees clearly doesn't know what he is talking about. YouIt must be clear that this is the BEST Matrix videogame to date. Anyone who disagrees clearly doesn't know what he is talking about. You basically get TWO video games for ONE: the STORY mode and a TEKKEN like FIGHTING mode which you can UNLOCK. It should be a CRIME if you haven't played this game.

"Enter the Matrix" may not be the first game to give I feel that if this game had come out before "Max Payne", the reviews would be higher. "Enter the Matrix" may not be the first game to give players the option of bullet-time, but it uses it perfectly. This game is a lot of fun to play, and the fighting system gives the player many cool-looking combos. If you're a Matrix fan, you HAVE to play this game, not just for the intertwining story, but because it really makes you feel like you're playing in the movie. Many elements, such as control, graphics, and sound hold up very well. However, I could have done without the last level, onboard the Logos. It felt like the makers just wanted the game to end. While the game was fun to play, some areas felt rushed, and given the amount of money, time, and effort put into the game, I feel the gameplay should have been improved in some areas. Rent it before you decide to buy it. Let's hope Ubi Soft can out-do Atari in the sequel. Expand

The graphics were impressive, i'll give it that much and i was eager to learn how to do all the cool moves i saw in the movie but the The graphics were impressive, i'll give it that much and i was eager to learn how to do all the cool moves i saw in the movie but the constant "save game" break ups interupted the whole story part of it. It seemed sort of repetitive though after a while since u go around and shoot here, shoot there, kill that police man, kill another, and then find a new weapon. the moves for punching and kicking were also too easy to do for instance, just pressing triangle. it's fun when u rent it but by no means spend ur hard earned 35 to 50$ dollars on it.
