This is one of the best games for PlayStation 2, what is also the weak point of it. Graphics and game mechanics are not the same as in a PS3 game, so it isn’t stirring for me.
-
If you've been hankering for a full-scale Jak and Daxter game for some time, The Lost Frontier largely fulfills its duty as a continuation of the main series with flying colors. It's not a perfect sequel by any means, but it's strong enough to merit a purchase and some solid play time. Just be prepared to deal with some bumps along the way.
-
Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier is a good game with here and there some setbacks. It plays smoothly, it’s fast-paced from the get go and it looks fine. There’s not much bad to say about the game, aside from some camera flaws.
-
Unless you're a die-hard Jak and Daxter fan, Jak and Daxter: The Final Frontier isn't worth the coin.
-
Pelit (Finland)It's clear that the developers didn't have enough time to properly finish the game. As it is now it's ugly and full of bugs and bad gameplay. A shame really, because with some proper polishing it could've been a really good platformer. [Jan 2010]
-
Though let down its by haphazard combat mechanics, there are enough positives to The Lost Frontier to make it worth checking out for both fans of the series and of platforming games in general.
-
PSM3 Magazine UKVisually, it looks decent, but not great. [Feb 2010, p.93]
