I'll even go out on a limb and say that Deadly Alliance is the best 3D fighter to date! [Jan 2003, p.88]
  2. The fighting is as brutal as ever; perhaps even more so with the power of the PS2 behind it...but the fun is still retained.
  3. I highly recommend this game to anyone who has any interest in fighting games, especially those who were disappointed with "Tekken 4" or people who have a craving for the Mortal Kombat series.

The collectibles are going to make some of you completely addicted to Deadly Alliance. [Jan 2003, p.131]
  5. The controls are tight, the graphics good and the hidden stuff down by the Krypt ranges from junk to outstanding.

For Mortal Kombat fans, this is easily the best installment since "Mortal Kombat II."

Then there's stuff that's just disgraceful to Asian people in general. For instance, Li Mei looks like she's a drug-addled prostitute. And this is before she gets punched in the face.

Awesome....it is way hard, extremely gory, and mounds above past versions. Kudos to Midway....a big concern is fatalities....only 1 for Awesome....it is way hard, extremely gory, and mounds above past versions. I persoanlly don't think it deters from the gameplay, or the game...it is still worth every penny I put down on it. Expand

It was the game that revived the series after it suffered a low point in the late 90's. Co-creator Ed Boon and his team at NetherRealm have delivered highly-acclaimed MK titles ever since. DA was also the installment that introduced weapon-based combat to the franchise. At the time of release, it was viewed as the best "Mortal Kombat" entry alongside MK II. I would rate this with an 8.3 out of 10 Expand

The game play is too slow. there are hardly any special moves and the fatality are basically the same. very poor compared to some fighting games.
