Naughty Dog use the PS3 to reinvigorate the adventure gaming experience, combining key elements that every gamer holds dear in a game that looks and feels like a blockbuster film. [Dec 2007, p.52]

Uncharted is the best game Naughty Dog has ever crafted.
  3. Uncharted is a tremendously fun game and one of the best gaming experiences of the year. While it borrows heavily from other games in the market it's such a nice and diverse game that it's hard to find much fault with.
  4. We could actually say that Drake is the male version of Lara Croft, a good prediction to the beginning of a franchise that could be very interesting.

Uniquely entertaining, if cliched at times. [Jan 2008, p.60]

Everything's fun and exhilarating, but it never builds to more than the sum of its parts. Just keep your expectations in the right place, and you'll enjoy your time in the tropical sun. [Holiday 2007, p.76]
  7. Problem is, when it comes to movie-style storytelling, Uncharted is more "Sahara" than "Raiders Of The Lost Ark."

In fact, the character relationships may remind you more of 'Romancing the stone' than 'Indiana Jones'. It's like Tomb Raider crossed with a run and cover third person shooter crossed with Prince of Persia but much better than any of them. The graphics are absolutely amazing- realistic jungles, pools of water, forts and castles, and towering cliffs have been created. This is the Bioshock of the PS3 (and Bioshock is due to come out for the PS3 too now) but this game is even more graphically impressive in ways and it is more user friendly- there is never any doubt as to what to do next and yet there are always places to explore so its relative linearity is well disguised. As for the puzzles, they are mostly easy but there is one level that is designed like a M Escher painting (watch Labyrinth and you will know about it) which is brilliantly made. This is the kind of the adventure game that you always dreamt about. Expand

The story is good, but Nathan Drake's running is not. He runs like me, but if my kneecaps were busted.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Really cool game until they decided to add nazi zombies for some reason. Completely ruins everything about the game. I hope to someday find whatever the dev team was smoking when they thought that would be a cool and fun idea so that I can be so indescribably high and make the worst decisions of my life. This is the only review I have ever left for anything and probably ever will. Just can’t believe 1) that they would add that storyline and 2) that they try and drag it out so long. In conclusion, yeah just a terrible idea so whatever. Fun game I guess but that part just filled me with rage because why would you ever do that. Expand
