11-11 Memories Retold is something precious; it’s a rare foil against the lies about war that filth like Call of Duty and Battlefield get away with far too easily.

Though it might lack typical challenge, 11-11: Memories Retold is a journey that is absolutely worth taking. An affecting and tragic look at war from the perspectives of two soldiers who seem least keen to wage it, this is pretty much essential for anybody with a heart.

It wants its audience to switch lenses, zoom in and accept that war involves relatable individuals on all sides. No matter the uniform they’re wearing, or where they’re from, they bear the burden of choice and consequences at a personal level, carried out in seconds and minutes, just like us.

It's not the most engrossing narrative I've ever experienced, but it's certainly incredibly memorable. I enjoyed all of my time with 11-11: Memories Retold and can heartily recommend it to the narrative adventure fans, or anyone who just wants to see a game rendered in an incredibly unique art style. I can't wait to see what kind of game Aardman makes next.

11-11 Memories Retold focuses on two different fates and is more intimist than Valiant Hearts: the Great War. It takes some distance with historic reality to tell a well written and luminous tale. Maybe too luminous, though.

As Valiant Hearts or This War of Mine, this game wants to show the most painful side of the war. Harry and Kurt are two characters with good stories and drawn like a Monet canvas. But some clumsy puzzles and predictable situations do not let them reach higher.

Even though visually pretty, I found the game lacking serious depth when it came to the story, and consider that there were not enough points in the game for me to emotionally connect to either of the characters. When you take into consideration that plot twist is very predictable and that the game can be finished in less than one day, this game does offer a different perspective on the WWI from the other games currently on the market, but it won’t leave a lasting impression on you, it will become just a fleeting memory.

This game shows the feelings of ordinary people during a war. I really liked that you can play with a Canadian as well as with a German. There are many side-quests and collectibles and different story options so the game has a high replay-value. Expand

El estilo visual al óleo llama mucho la atención, banda sonora e historia muy buena. Totalmente recomendable jugarlo Expand

I am not very into adventure games like this but i was really suprised after finishing the game. Here is my final verdict translated into english:

"The game is one big salutation to all livings who died in first world war. Using the unique graphic style, authors perfectly described the true face of war, its story and the consequences. Story won't let you stay emotionless during all possible endings. It will make you think about yourself in same situation, what would you do, how would you act? Several endings will cause mixed emotions like empathy, anger, sadness, relief in you. Probably the only things you will regret after finishing the story are that game finished so fast and decisions almost don't affect the story until the very end."

Story's nice. The gameplay is mostly intuitive and the collectibles add value to the story as well.
