Once again, the Horsemen offer us a masterpiece. Darksiders III, even with all the fear and skepticism behind the game, has managed to become a superb hack ‘n’ slash. The personal journey of Fury against the Seven Deadly Sins is simply amazing, and everything is set towards the future for Strife to come and end this awesome epic.

Not quite the triumphant return long-time fans had hoped for but nevertheless, Darksiders III is an enjoyable and worthy entry in the series. The biggest issue here is that newcomers will likely find Fury and her world a little too unwelcoming. To those of us who have already shared the trials of War and the journey of Death, delivering Fury’s wrath is a satisfying if somewhat guilty pleasure.

Darksiders III suffers from some technical shortcomings but it presents an enjoyable experience at heart with a good story that sets the series on the right path for a finale that could be great if done probably.

Darksiders 3 feels like coming home for fans, and combat is a blast - but it can be hard to appreciate the good when dealing with a laundry list of technical stumbles.

Severe performance problems and a misguided implementation of Souls mechanics in Darksiders 3 tarnish an otherwise perfunctory, but at least occasionally enjoyable return to one of last generation's better action series.

Beneath the mountain of bugs, shoddy design and inconsistent performance, there’s a genuinely good adventure waiting to be experienced in Darksiders III. Unfortunately, its numerous problems are more than just annoying in nature. They’re quite simply…apocalyptic.

The game is a nightmare to play through, with an unlikable protagonist, a chugging frame rate, and a mountain of bugs. It’s completely and utterly broken, but even when it works (which is almost never), it amounts to nothing more than a below average hack-and-slash with some decent puzzles.

At first I was a bit disappointed, expecting it to be more like Darksiders 2 but, halfway through, I forgot about all my grievances. I give it a 10 even though I consider it to be an 8,5. Expand

This is also a VERY hard game and does not feel very balanced until after leveling up to around level 40. I recommend starting on "Balanced" difficulty and saving the harder settings for new game +, but that's just my opinion to make it fair and fun the first time through (I thought it was still hard enough on the balanced setting). Considering how much of the game those section are, it's a very bad part of the overhaul experience. The camera is awful, and it become the worst possible thing ever in the game when you are crammed into small rooms or corridors. The story...generic at best, Fury is the weakest of the 3 as far as i'm concerned (even Death was redeemable in the end), the lack of the horse is laughable and you don't really feel as one of the Horseman. Bossfights are good, not the best, not the worst, but some of them are very "colorless" and dull. The pacing of the game can go from terrible to mediocre, depending on how much fun you can get from platform and normal enemy encounters. And you loose souls upon death , because that's a thing apparently now for action games. Exploration, another big parto of the game, is souless and trivial, no interesting semi-open map section with little to no interesting sideways or else. Expand

Easily the WORST game i've played in ten years. It is wrong on so many levels.

It's supposed to be hard, but it is actually unplayable.
Easily the WORST game i've played in ten years. It is wrong on so many levels.

It's supposed to be hard, but it is actually unplayable. Freezes in a middle of a fight, camera that stays stuck in some random walls, dodge mechanics that works once in a while (and in apocalyptic difficulty, you dies in 2 hits, i let you imagine), graphics that are looking dated (Darksiders 2 remastered is looking better)... It is not even close of an Alpha build.

Don't waste your time and money on this. You're welcome.
