Amazing graphics! The combat system is very funny. I´m looking forward to the on-line mode. Awesome draw technology, you can draw your own characters into the battles!!
Great battles, with many possibilities and potential. The story mode is quite short, i'm looking forward to the online mode. Also the technology behind the creation of fighters through the mobile app is incredible
Awesome turn-based combats with a great visual art and many possibilities. I hope for online feature to combat with other players. The draw technology is very incredibly and surprising.
I was amazed at the potential of this game.
At first glance, it's a Pokemon-like turn based combat game, with really cute characters and animations, but there are a couple of features that make it really stand out: there is a lot of strategy involved in the combat system and it's deeper than it looks at first, and the best thing about the game is that you can draw your own characters into the game!
You draw a 2D character and you get a gorgeous 3D character in return, and you can fully customize its animations as well.
Can't wait for the multiplayer update!
Drawfighters
Fun, but not much replayability
Drawfighters is a turnbased pokemon like fighting game where you play as a rookie drawfighter trying to make you way through the ranks and win all 3 volcano tournaments..
There is a phone app to even draw your own fighters and bring them to life in game, but sadly this app kept crashing when I tried to connect it, so I couldn’t get this feature to work…
But youre given 3 drawfighters from the start and you unlock more by progressing through this games 4 hour story mode…
Which is where the replayability comes in…
You can start a new game plus once you beat the game to continue leveling up your fighters, but this is it..
The developers have told me theyre working on a dual player mode to patch in, but for the time being such a thing doesn’t exist…
Combat here is simple.. each team has 3 fighters, each fighter has 3 moves, and each fighter has a weakness…
you take turns picking 1 attack and you can freely switch fighters in and out.. and you go until all 3 fighters are knocked out…
And there are 3 different weakness cycles here.. so things can get a little confusing it isn’t as simple as the pokemon weakness cycles, but thankfully you can make note of the team youre about to face, back out and gear up for battle…
thankfully you don’t really need to pay attention until the final volcano tournament as this is where opponents are practically sponges…
they’ll absorb all of your damage despite you having more power and will do hundreds of damage despite you not being weak to them… which is a little frustrating and makes things more confusing..
im not sure exactly why this is but the final few battles in this game is the only time I had to swap my characters and buy attacks for enemy weaknesses…
Which you do by leveling up in battle or in training if you choose to grind..
You have to be carful what you spend on what, as you can use speed to be able to attack first, or you can dump it all in strength and health which again seemingly mean nothing once you reach the late stages of the game..
but you also have to be careful because each fighter has a level cap of only 10..
and you have a limited amount of gems to spend on moves..
so its important to save these gems for dire situation when an opponent has a weakness that you don’t have a match for…
As no matter your characters element type.. youre able to give them any move that exists in the game as long as they are a high enough level and you have enough gems…
Drawfighters I found to be a little too mind numbing and easy for the first 2 3rds of the game…
I really wish this elemental factor from the final 3rd came into play sooner as it actually made me think and strategize.. this is when the game actually starts to become good.. but after defeating the final boss I had no urge to continue through new game plus with now every battle being this way…
Drawfighters is a fairly enjoyable 4 hr experience.. but keep in mind this is a very shallow 4hr experience
it’s a shame the game ends just as it starts to get good…
I give Drawfighters
a 6.5/10
