This is one of my favourite games of the year and it's one I'd encourage any previous Final Fantasy fan to consider. Besides the brilliant nods to the series past — adorable retro touches like pixel art character menus and classic game soundtracks you can buy in servos and listen to in the Regalia — this is a game that's doing something new and great with what's come before. It's the fondest I've felt about the series since VIII.
Some great character depth as well as an overhaul to both the Final Fantasy formula and battle system makes Final Fantasy XV a delight for existing fans and new players. The title is a huge step in the right direction for a franchise that has staggered in recent years.
If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful open world game with a cool combat system, than FF15 is what you're looking for.
Experiencing all the combat approaches offered by the game is truly engaging and fun, easy to start but that will require you some practice to master and once you've mastered it than the combo spectacles begin. Even using the different gameplay of Ignis, Gladio and Prompto will give interesting twist even in the most common battles.
The main story is touching and the Lore is just pure epicness, also thanks to a masterful villain like Ardyn.
So, overall, I think that you should give to this game a fair chance and I can assure you that you are going to be surprised by this
If you asked me how I would describe my experience with Final Fantasy 15 my answer it will be awesome.
Yes. The correct way to approach this jrpg is to experienced like a literal true road trip. With a lot of beautiful landscapes and dungeons to explore, while we earing some truly awesome soundtrack during our relaxing trip. I've never seen a jrpg so comfy like this before.
It may not be the very masterpiece we were waiting for, but despite all its flaws, FINAL FANTASY XV manages to be the ultimate JRPG we've needed for a long time.
There is so much good here, so much heart - especially in the relationships between Noctis and his sworn brothers. It just comes with some changes and compromises that were, at times, difficult for this long-time Final Fantasy fan to come to grips with.
Final Fantasy XV brings back some of what made FF special to begin with - it's bold and brave, throwing caution to the wind to try to make a statement about what big budget Japanese RPGs can be going forwards. It's rough around the edges, but that's okay: where it counts, it's got plenty of heart.
Final Fantasy XV is definitely a memorable tale told with impressive production values. However, it's plagued by gameplay that basically plays itself, insufferable wait times, and a story that fails to establish itself before thrusting you into its world.
Currently the best Final Fantasy game I've ever played. Rich, wonderful and filled with tons of stunning contents.
I loved the characters just like I loved the gameplay. Absolutely recommended
I give this a 4 because this was finally the last dying breath of the worst years of an FF franchise that lost its way. FF13 and FF15 had almost put the nail in the coffin for this franchise. Luckily, Square after 10 years of complaints started to listen to its fans and set the franchise back on course with FF7R and FF16.
FF15 is a hot mess. If you need side content and movies to fill plot holes because you have an unfinished game, you know there is a problem. The movie wasn’t that good either. The long and disastrous development of this game, previously to be called ff versus 13, speaks volumes as to why this was a miss. Sometimes it’s best to bury the hatchet and start over.
I admittedly played this for 30 hrs and did enjoy the characters at first but the story was non existent and as with 13 felt sterilized. It is mostly a beautiful road trip and walking simulator with small sprinkles of story and monster battles.
