If Persona 5 was about forming bonds with new people and recruiting them for a common cause, Persona 5 Strikers is about taking the Phantom Thieves and proving that the friendship they share is lasting, that it can and will endure any hardship. I think, right now, that message is immeasurably important, and hits harder than a bullet formed from the Seven Deadly Sins.

Blending an engaging and often thought-provoking narrative with combat that flirts with both strategy and chaos but always remains fun, Persona 5 Strikers is quite simply one of the best action RPGs I've ever played. If you love the Persona series consider it a must-play, but even action game fans that have never touched a Persona game before might want to give it a try. The combat is a far cry from Omega Force's usual brand of mindless hack and slash; in fact, it's totally unique. And alongside the usual Persona 5 flair such as bold visual design and an utterly sumptuous soundtrack, it creates an experience that could well be one of the highlights of 2021.

Despite all the fighting you will do here, and despite all the room that the developers have made for sociopolitical theater, Strikers is still a well-earned vacation for our heroes, an emphatic, energetic punctuation mark to a much larger experience.

The charm of Persona 5 + the demons of Shin Megami Tensei + the intense hack-&-slash-action from mosou = a damned strong sequel. Because against all expectations, that's exactly what Strikers is: Persona 5-2!

Describing Persona 5 as brilliant is not even an exaggeration. The 2016 Japanese game won just about everything there was to win, and is considered one of the best role-playing games ever made. ‘Strikers’ is not simply an expansion that offers more of the same, but a standalone game that adds a new and distinct battle system where the focus is more on action than tactics.

For all its shortcomings, Persona 5 Strikers reminds me why I loved the Phantom Thieves to begin with and shows how they've matured since we last saw them. Once you get your head around it, the action-RPG combat is a challenging thrill, and no one can pull off flourishes in the same fashion as these characters. I almost forgot I was playing a musou-style game developed by Koei Tecmo and Omega-Force, and I think that's a testament to how sharp Strikers is as a Persona game. If you have any love for Persona 5, what say you save the world one more time with some old friends?

The best Dynasty Warriors game so far is still barely competent compared to other action games but for those seeking more Persona 5 this is a fun, if trashy diversion.

I played the original persona 5 and its one of the most satisfying jrpgs in the decade. This game basically continues the story of that game while adding a new battle system and new gameplay elements. Everything about it like prety much in this game. Persona 5 was for me way to long, this game’s length is slightly shorter but i feel like ill put way more hours than the 40 hours they said it takes to beat because the dungeons can be confusing and take a awhile to figure out where to go and the grinding will add lot more hours to the gameplay. I Really like this and any rpg fan should play it. Only thing i didnt like was that the battle system can be confusing and take awhile to get used to, also the story is a little more complex this time so far in the game little hard to follow sometimes. Really amazingly made game. Expand

What a fantastic sequel to my favorite game of all time. I'm beyond satisfied with this continuation of the story, and while the story writing might feel a bit same to the original game, it's still pretty good. However, what makes this game very different, is the gameplay. I love the combat mechanics of this game, and honestly they are even better than the Turn Based combat of the original game, it feels fast and it's very enjoyable, I had a blast playing through it. The music is well, fantastic, as I expected from a Persona 5 game, however, the audio is sometimes a little bit weird, for example, there are few times were you can't hear the characters very well, but it's not something that bothered me that much. Overall I loved this game and it's a perfect sequel for Persona 5. Expand

    Score: 8.7/10

    Pros:
    - Main cast is charming and lovable, one of the best last gen has to offer = 10/10
    - Combat is enjoyable and you are forced to swap party members around to counter enemies weaknesses, to keep things fresh.
    - Story is decent, but the overall journey is great
    - A lot of content here, ranging from 30-50 hours, depending on how much grinding you do

    So-So
    - repetitive jrpg nature (self-explanatory)
    - turn based combat still works better based on the game's mechanic
    - nothing really new for persona fans except the switch to third person combat (the persona, and skills/mechanics remain the same).

    Cons:
    - removal of the confidant system (one of the best features of persona 5)
    - requests.. or side quests are not fun... a lot of backtracking, and grinding.
    - story was still great but the ending felt dragged on, making me dread the final jail run.

Overall really good, not as good as persona 5, but just as enjoyable. Would definately reccomend if you enjoy jrpgs. But I would reccomend it just because I love the main cast, they're so awesome!
