Reventure is a creative take on the adventure-platforming genre. It pokes fun at classic Zelda-isms while providing an enjoyable way to forge your own path by finding all 100 endings to the game. This humorous game makes excellent use of its retro graphics and audio to create something truly unique and downright enjoyable. Check it out!
Great game. I love the jokes from the game, the artstyle and controls. I have no problem with the Backtracking in the game. If you want test it out this game has a free ad based mobile Version. In my opinion it is his 5€ worth.
Reventure is a completionist’s dream. Those who thrive on finding every little secret and experimenting with all the possibilities a game offers will fall in love. Players looking for a clear, singular objective or a greater amount of complexity may not enjoy what it brings to the table. Its unique approach to endings, storytelling, and world-building make Reventure one of the freshest experiences in recent memory, and for my money it’s a plunge that’s worth taking.
Reventure consists of a simple but by no means plain adventure which performs very well on the Nintendo Switch handheld format. While at first the adventure seems to follow a very standard formula, it soon becomes apparent that there's a lot more to Reventure than it looks at first and while the game doesn't stand out for its visual environment, its gameplay mechanics help it carve its own territory amidst its adventure game peers.
Reventure is the equivalent of a book of solid knock-knock jokes: funny but ultimately repetitive due to the medium's own restrictive structure. Playing more like a puzzler than a 2D action-platformer, the majority of the game's 100 endings will warrant a chuckle or two, especially if you enjoy zany/absurd humor. The methods to unlock each ending aren't quite as engaging, partly due to backtracking but largely due to repeat solutions (i.e. stab this NPC, stab that NPC, stab the next NPC). Although completionists will gorge themselves on this game, most gamers will feel satiated after 30 or so endings.
I had to try it because of the good reviews. It is a cute game that was fun for half an hour but then it became very repetitive and boring. It is a fun idea to get achievements based on different ways to die, but I think it could been done better
