I think I keep saying this, but Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights is fun. And that's about what all these words you've just read amount to.
This game is extremely fun and entertaining, but a couple of points had to go due to some camera and graphics issues which couldn’t be overlooked.

From a silly laugh track sound effect playing back when Scoob & Shaggy get into (or out of) trouble to the sight of obviously rubber-suit monsters nearby, “Night of 100 Frights” delivers the sights, sounds and goofy things that made the Hanna-Barbera Saturday morning cartoon such a timeless hit.
The only downside to Night Of 100 Frights is the sheer lack of originality and so-so difficulty level.
The most amazing feature of Night of 100 Frights is that almost every aspect of the game, starting with the background story, mimics a Scooby Doo episode.
I enjoyed this game up until the halfway point. Then, the sheer lack of any really new gameplay mechanics and the amazing repetitiveness of collecting really got to me. [July 2002, p.40]
The one element that will annoy more players than anything else is the rigid camera system that displays fixed angles when traversing the levels.
I have to say there is a little bit of nostalgia, but there is not much I can say besides if you like Scooby-Doo even the slightest this is the absolute best way to play and enjoy your favorite mystery solving group. Gameplay I have to say is fantastic The story is crafted just the way you would assume it to play out. Boss battles are a treat music phenomenal. There is not enough good things I could say but all I can say is if you have not played it please play it this absolutely deserves to be brought into the modern day!

Scooby Doo! Night of 100 Frights falls short **** game because of poor plat forming, the story is painfully dull, and having to revisit areas just to find some equipment is pretty boring but necessary, the best part of this game is admittedly the puzzles and Scooby's charm, but even with all the flaws for some reason I still had some fun with this game, but it's not one I could recommend, you may want to try this game but know what your getting into.

Night of 100 Frights is so hideously produced that you'll be laughing more than the laugh track, except you'll be laughing at it. Pros: Impressive graphics; stays true to the TV series; it has an integrated laugh track! Cons: Dull gameplay; poor controls; it's way too easy for experienced gamers.

Night of 100 Frights is quite bad by my standards. The gameplay is very repetitive and the amount of backtracking is appalling. The platforming would make up for it but Scooby is not fun to play in this game. The enemies are recycled and honestly less of an actual threat and more of just a pointless hurdle you have to get pass. There is no reason to go back to this game at all. If you are wanting to replay it or play it for the first time. Stay Away.

Maybe for its time it was good. But as for today? this is trash its garbage. It has really bad (like shockingly bad platforming), and shocking camera angels. If you absolutely love scooby doo, or have some nostalgia in this one, i guess you may like this just on that alone. But as for it being a average to a good game? It is not..
