Since the dawn of ever, warriors have banded together to fight evil. Now Mii characters based on your favorite people must unite to do turn-based battle and save Miitopia! "Miitopia is the right kind of silly nonsense. It's oddball, but never random for the sake of randomness. There's method to the madness, and in giving players such control over the experience, Miitopia ends up becoming something resonant on a personal level. Part of the reason I had so much fun with this game was because I had a direct hand in crafting what I experienced. I rarely laugh out loud as much as I have had with this one, and that is more impressive of a feat than Nintendo will get credit for. It's hard to get humour right over something as extended in length as a JRPG, and Nintendo nailed it." ... Read full review

"Miitopia is a very charismatic game that offers us the necessary tools to create all kinds of Mii. While this port may not be worth a second purchase for everyone who already owns the game on 3DS, this is a fun adventure from start to finish. " ... Read full review

"Miitopia's main weakness may be that, for an RPG, it lacks depth of gameplay. Nonetheless, it manages to shine bright despite it all thanks to its MII. The fact that we, as players, can become the main characters alongside family and/or friends, thus creating altogether a charismatic group of heroes, it's indeed its biggest virtue." ... "Those who delight in making Mii doppelgangers and watching them get into hilarious situations will have a blast with Miitopia, but if that doesn’t sound like something you’re interested in doing, you’re probably better off steering clear." ... Read full review

"Although it becomes repetitive after a while, it is a game that I can recommend for both players who are new to the RPG genre and those who are looking for a game where they can spend time without thinking too much." ... Read full review

"Like its predecessor on 3DS, Miitopia Switch is an original work that will introduce you to RPGs. Filled with humor, its simplistic, non-strategic nature is nicely outweighed by its powerful Mii editor and long lifespan. Although a bit repetitive, this fun adventure will be a breath of fresh air for those who are new to this world. For the rest of us, we have to admit that the differences between the original and the remake are minimal." ... Read full review

You get to decide on the characters in the game at every turn; the villain could be one of you're parents, or it could be Donkey Kong if you so desired. You have a very limited amount of control over the actual events, even down to the gameplay, so at times it can feel like you are watching an absurd cartoon show featuring your family and a wide variety of strange pop culture references. It's a joy to experience, given that you engage with its crazed nature every step of the way. Expand

The music is so charming, and so is the rest of the game. The big issue is that in the later game, it becomes boring. Pre-quest center place, everything is so action pact. Making cool characters, exploring the game, it's fun! Post quest center place, you are released free. There is no longer a story, or motive for you to play. The gameplay gets repetitive and you must document every good thing and the best play styles. Again, I want love, but the developers just didn't make it exciting in the later game. If there was a little more action from there on, than this game would get an easy positive score, but it becomes so lifeless from there on. I think if you still enjoy the concept and trailers of the game, go for it! Maybe you'll end up liking it! Expand
