    Tales of Symphonia Remastered remains the legendary Japanese role-playing game it was from the beginning. Thus, it is an outstanding work with an edition that hardly brings anything new to the table except its availability on modern consoles. If you have not been able to play this game so far, this is a good opportunity to do so, but if you have already done it and remember it well, there are not too many reasons to return once again to the adventure.

    Tales of Symphonia Remastered is a product that was only made to comply, so compared to remasters of other franchises, it falls far, far behind. On the other hand, if there are new users who want to play it for the first time, it is an accessible option today. Although for the asking price, perhaps it would be best to wait for a discount.

    This remaster of a classic game does not pay tribute to the original game. The game is very archaic visually and it has a hard time convincing.

    Tales of Symphonia is a brilliant action JRPG that set a precedent for the genre. Even all these years later, its engrossing storytelling, vast array of side activities, character interaction, and layers of combative options all coalesce to make it a must-experience adventure. Yet, as a remaster, this specific release fails to hit the mark, ultimately providing a lackluster and disappointing resurgence that could have been so much more.

    I will never not love Tales of Symphonia and appreciate that it introduced this wonderful series to me. I will forever love Raine’s manic professor mode, Colette’s clumsiness, and the fact that Lloyd is voiced by Robin from Teen Titans. That said, Tales of Symphonia Remastered has made me realize that unless Bandai Namco deems it worthwhile to do a ground-up remake of the game, I think I’m fine sunsetting Symphonia and letting other worthwhile Tales shine in the spotlight for a while.

The story itself it's not the best tales game and there is cheesy lines but overall it's a pretty good remastered. 1080p docked mode. Also we rarely see 60fps games on switch so yeah good luck (Bayonetta 3 tried and was always 50-55 FPS)… Expand

How do you give a game remembered by all as a masterpiece this type of treatment. That being said it’s not assss bad as everyone is making it out. It may not be the best version of the game but it’s playable and portable and still good fun. If you can get past the performance issues and load times then there is fun to be had here.… Expand

    worst remastered. Just funny how ~18 years later they still couldn't do 60fps. Switch version is less than 30 fps
