When faced with truly momentous decisions, multiple characters will weigh in by casting their votes on the Scales of Conviction. In these moments, the allies and decisions you make can determine the fate of whole nations and the continent of Norzelia itself. Control multi-tiered battlefields to strategically secure victory
Finding the best location in turn-based battles can tip the tide of combat in your favor. Position units on higher ground to take control of the battlefield and gain the advantage with increased range. You can also flank enemies on both sides, then strike from behind for a powerful follow-up attack. Elemental chain reactions are also an important part of combat. For example, use fire to melt icy terrain, then use lightning to electrocute it. Push the enemy into the electrified water to see sparks fly!

Triangle Strategy is unique in its sprawling story, and its success is only solidified by an excellent combat system that makes battles as intense as they are intimidating. With deep lore and an overall mature approach to a genre too often dumbed down, Triangle Strategy is an RPG fans dream.

I’m a huge fan of this HD-2D style approach Square Enix is taking with these games. Octopath Traveler looked like a souped-up Final Fantasy VI, and similarly, Triangle Strategy looks like a souped-up Final Fantasy Tactics with more modern mechanics and UI. I think fans of the genre are going to really appreciate what Triangle Strategy has going for it, even if the character development could use a bit more work. And for genre newcomers or those less familiar with it like myself, this is a fantastic entry point with an engaging story to keep you hooked.

A brilliant story driven JRPG with stylish graphics, an impressive combat system and an ideal difficulty level. The battles, the twists, your role in it all which can lead to several different endings - that’s what will keep you playing.

Triangle Strategy has the seal of approval of Tomoya Asano, producer of other RPGs that have stood out for having a special touch. This tactical RPG sweetens the look for its aesthetics and draws us in little by little, in a drama full of tragic overtones. The robust story and its battle system are its strong points, although the exploration is practically nil. The narrative is dense and at times very slow, which make the battles feel like a prize for which we waited a long time.

Despite requiring the virtue of patience, Triangle Strategy is a great time. Grid-based battlefield lovers should definitely make a plan to play it.

Triangle Strategy is shockingly successful at telling a grounded human story in a fantasy world, even if its main cast is extremely dull. That plot is backed up by simple but well-designed and appropriately challenging combat.

Triangle Strategy delivers smart tactics, but battles play second fiddle to its dull political lore.

Art imitates life. Its about 3 countries fighting over negotiations, and importation of their main goods/services. You get to hear the goodArt imitates life. Its about 3 countries fighting over negotiations, and importation of their main goods/services. You get to hear the good sides and bad sides from every citizen about how it feels like living in the world they are in. There's a lot of politics involved, and any decision made by the player greatly affects the story, the characters used/played, maps you play in, etc.

Before I got the game, I heard a lot of complaints about how long the story. But I think THE STORY IS THE GAME itself. The gameplay is not just the tactics-like battle, its also making decisions which are tied to certain values player believes in or wishes to follow.
