Obviously inspired by Vanillaware’s games such as Dragon’s Crown, The Vagrant’s graphics are impressive, and the game comes with a ton of replay value, making it well worth your money. However, while its game mechanics are interesting, The Vagrant struggles in finding its own identity.
The Vagrant is by no means a perfect 2D hack 'n' slashing action-adventure/RPG-lite. There are far better alternatives out there - alternatives that are much more challenging than this walk in the park, by the way. It's still a very solid game, however. One that, while repetitive, and definitely not brimming with content, still manages to remain enjoyable for the eight hours it will last, with a pretty interesting plot keeping you company, even if the writing, pacing, and presentation is rough around the edges. In the end, The Vagrant's biggest strength is that it's a Vanillaware-esque game on a budget, so fans of Kamitani's work should play this super-cheap indie right away.
_find your way to know your purpose. The Vagrant adult fairy tale makes us hope for a good ending to the story, compassion, pity is not known to our mercenary, gold for services and notoriety about her adventures, in exchange for the most important feelings of life
I think it is a best platformer game. Really, a can say about pluses of this game for a long time. Good story, cool atpmosphere and really funny jokes.

Pros
+Decent story with two endings

+Good OST
+A ton of customization and RPG elements to shape up your character the way you want to play
+New Game Plus and multiple difficulty modes

Cons
-Some visual mistakes like text overwritten (mostly noticeable with food items near end of game)
-Some animations lagged during when there were a lot of animations, objects on screen, etc
Keeping this short and sweet.
The Vagrant feels great to play and is very satisfying.
The story is serviceable, not bad but not especially good either.
Art style is very pretty, though some animations can look a little stiff.
Only real criticism i have is the game feels slightly too short considering the size of the skill tree and a decent amount of dialogue has pretty bad grammar/spelling mistakes in it(like google translate bad).
So I bought this game some months ago and have been playing it once and then, but today I played 5 hours straight and the game is decent enough. I bought it because one of my favorite youtubers Mediaglitch recommended it in a video. So this game is a Metroidvania and it reminds me a lot of Dust: An Elysian Tail, anyway it's a really nice game although it's missing something not sure what. I scored it 8/10 though, not the greatest but not bad at all.
It's a good game, especially for the cheap price, but has a lot of flaws, the music although good most of the times can be irritating in others, the story has some good moments, but sometimes it just doesn't make sense, the combat is good, but nothing amazing.
SummaryPlay as Vivian the Vagrant, a traveling sellsword, fighting your way from lush of mysterious forest to deep haunting castle, and leaving your foot print from ancient tribal remains to the edge of the world. After you finally discovered everything, what will be waiting for you?
