I replayed the game several days ago.
Pros.:
- Christopher Lloyd.
- The plot. The world. The environment.
- Music.
- Humor.
- Tim Curry as the villain.
Cons.:
- The game may have glitches on the modern systems. However, the fans corrected most of them.
- The sequel was never released.
It's a pity the sequel was never released. There were so many games that disappeared after the release. Toonstruck is one of them. Another forgotten franchise.
One of the best point and click games i ever played. The story is nice / original and the actor playing is Christopher Lloyd, which is also nice. The only downside for me is that there is no sequel.
I still play this game every 2 a 3 years. If you play this game on a pc, use a cpu slower application, because you might get stuck in Zanydu.
Pretty much a very good point and click adventure at a time when the point and click was going out of style. The mixture of live action and cartoon animation seemed a bit needless Christopher Lloyds character just looks wrong when superimposed onto this bright colorful landscape. Other than that the story is pretty good, perhaps a bit too goofy at times, and the Cartoon character are well design. An absolutely fantastic performance by Tress MacNeille as Fluffy Fluffy Bun Bun. Overall: A decent point & click that arrived on the scene a bit late so it is understandable why it has been so overlooked.
It wasn't that hot when it came out. In the meantime graphics have aged poorly, humour is dated, the zany esthetic out of place and it is quite hard: at the opposite spectrum of newer games, where everything is handed to you. No reason to pick it up now except nostalgia for 80s-90s sensibilities
