Troubleshooting: Abandoned Children is a big, complex game with an incredible number of settings, crafting and modifications, which can take hundreds of hours to complete. The anime style, atmosphere of Atlus games, deep characters and a strong plot make this project a real gift for fans of the genre.
While it looks like an XCOM knock-off, Troubleshooter is much more RPG than tactics. It has unique characters with different mechanics and literally hundreds of perks that lead to drastically different builds. [Issue#246, p.39]

I've played many X-com type games, but none ever surpassed my enjoyment with Xcom...until Troubleshooter. Honestly can't believe that the game is so cheap in price, art style well done and combat very enjoyable. Characters have been enjoyable to discover and get to know.
There are perhaps *some* issues with translations, nothing that I ever noticed too much or that was game breaking. Do remember this is a Korean indie team that made the game, and translations do cost quite a bit to do in time and money, so for me it is more than acceptable.

one of the best tactics game ever made. Small korean developer that made the game early access, and always answered to us.
Excellent story, battle, lovable characters. A must play for fans of the genre.

At the time of writing this game has 8.9 from 27 ratings. But if you check most of the ratings you will see that they are from dubious accounts.
I fell for the reviews and played the game. Its got some interesting elements but nothing that makes it a decent or good game. At best its a below average game with poor graphics, over complex game play elements and a worthless story. The mission layout and planning is also problematic and buggy, If you expected this to be anywhere close to XCOM then you will be disappointed.

It's like a quirky X-COM where you command a group of angsty teens protecting neighborhoods from ****'s not exactly bad, but it's almost a direct copy of X-COM's gameplay mechanics, except much inferior in almost every way. The combat system is overly complicated with all sorts of janky rules and affinities tacked on. The research portion of the game is weird and unintuitive. The main difference is that they've added a social aspect to the game similar to Persona, and it's pretty terrible. The dialog is cringe. The story is about some cult that worships spoons. I believe it's supposed to be funny. It's not. The combat is strangely weightless in the sense that it doesn't feel satisfying to kill enemies. They just come in waves, and it doesn't feel like anything was acheived when defeating **** beauty of X-COM: Enemy Unknown was the simplicity. There was deep complexity in understanding the subtleties of tactical combat and macro-management, but the game fundamentally was very easy to understand and pick up. There wasn't much dialog or having to explain everything. Abandoned Trouble Shooter adds complexity without benefit, and a rather lame social element to the game, and it way to wordy.

I don t understnad why people like this game... the story is boring, the combats are boring No strategy, no reflexion. the characters build is not bad... I have play less than 20 hours and I am disapointed... I don t think I will finish it.
