It controls tight and responsively and overall it easy to play and understand, and it's great couch co-op fun with friends and family alike. Although I do recommend it, there are some flaws despite my retro style heart. The gameplay is solid, however the overall presentation does leave a bit to be desired. I would like to have seen more game modes, as it’s quite an unusual approach for a game of this ilk to not have more on offer. With that being said the game feels overpriced and short of the price for the overall admission. Sure there’s plenty to enjoy and unlock but the lack of modes and to complete the achievement set would be quite a grind with the lack of content for those achievement hunters out there. While Backslash did tickle my fancy it still walked away feeling a little empty overall. The overall polish from the presentation just was a bit too basic and felt a bit odd and lacked overall polish in the menus and also felt there could have been a bit more customization or options added as well. If the game had a lower price of admission it would fit the content more appropriately. It’s not a bad game, but with a few tweaks here and there they could have made it even better. I don’t have a problem giving the game a small recommendation but you might want to wait and pick it up during one of the Xbox store sales if you aren't a mega fan of retro stylized brawling. Expand
