The whole thing is very ‘Milkstone’ – a polished, well presented indie title which looks good and plays great, even as it wears its inspirations on its sleeve.
It’s a vicious side-scrolling combat adventure that punishes even the tiniest of mistakes. Some people enjoy rage-inducing games, and that’s ok as that is exactly what this game does.
Pharaonic is a game that holds great potential given its Egyptian setting, but with it taking itself too seriously it forces the player to make the choice between taking a loss or pushing through way too early in the game.
