It's fun, frantic and, yes, quick as a flash. [July 2016, p.91]
Overall, Black and White Bushido is a lot of fun, with support of up to four players local or online, this is certainly a game to bring out at parties or when friends come over for some fun.
If you're looking for a quick fix of addictive gameplay within a multiplayer environment, you can't go wrong with this.
With a striking visual art style and an initially promising light and dark mechanic, Black & White Bushido could have been everyone’s new go-to party game. However, not enough modes of play, repetitive map design, and an overall lack of personality put a damper on what is otherwise a decent arena combat game. The gameplay is polished and fluid and the controls are easy to grasp, everything that makes a game like this worthy of play. Black & White Bushido is indeed fun for a few rounds but the experience never feels compelling enough to keep playing. Better keep this one sheathed for now.
Black & White Bushido is a fun and unique multiplayer arena fighter that does just enough to keep players entertained. It’s limited in scope, but its tight controls and colour-based sneak-'n'-stab gameplay offer up a fun time with friends. This would be easier to recommend had there been more to keep you playing beyond the basic modes, but if you’re looking for something new to play with a few buddies, this could be worth a look.
