Anyone looking for a game that offers an almost endless amount of replayability should definitely check out Duck Game, especially those who have a couple of friends to play with.
Duck Game has been of favorite indie party game for years on PC, and I’m so excited to finally be able to bring it with me wherever I go to convince more friends and coworkers to play it with me at any time. Even though it was made as a PC exclusive five years ago, it still feels like Duck Game was made for the easy pick-up-and-play-anywhere multiplayer that the Switch was first advertised with. Few games draw out as many laughs, screams, and curses among my friends as Duck Game does, and now that it’s available on Switch it’s going to be a cornerstone of my millennial rooftop parties for years to come.
If there was a place Duck Game runs foul it is in the amount of content. While there are a lot of guns and interactions the rest of the game is shallow. In a party atmosphere rotating through games is no problem but playing through online multiplayer is a different story. The $13 price tag mitigates this somewhat, but I think some people will become bored should they play multiple rounds in a row. As a party game, I recommend Duck Game highly. As a personal purchase, I still recommend Duck Game because it is a simple game done well.
All things considered, Duck Game is a thoroughly enjoyable and silly party game. Its simple but fast-paced gameplay, varied map design, and penchant towards bedlam make for unpredictable fun. While I would only wholeheartedly recommend the game for local play, it makes for a great addition to anyone's rotation of couch multiplayer titles.
If you are looking for a title for parties or games with friends where the goal is to have fun with the opponent, this game is perfect for you. This local or online multiplayer 2D shooter is the perfect tool to satisfy this type of need.
Duck Game is a standout multiplayer title on Switch. While it isn’t going to be as extensive as its modifiable PC counterpart, it’s a solid port to a fantastic portable. With split Joy-Con support, Duck Game is a perfect game to chuck on with a friend for a short game of animal cruelty. So put on a silly hat, pick up a chainsaw and slide at Mach speed towards your opponent.
Best party game ever! This is the perfect game for the Switch with its 4 player multiplayer fun. I am not a big fan of the art style, but the fast paced gameplay with its outrageous weapons more than make up for it. I can play it for hours with my children, it's endless fun.
This game is fantastic 4 player fun. Very satifying quick action. Intuitive controls and plenty of chaos. Including single player in a game like this is an unexpected nice touch. The quick speed between battles is amazing. I think it is best to just grab 4 people and play it without reading anything more about it. Stop reading and play now!
One of the best and most fun multiplayer games to ever be created. It's just soooo much fun. Can't give a 10/10 tho, because the Switch Version doesn't feature a way to implement custom hats - unlike the pc version
If you have friends to play with, Duck Game is an excellent party game with good online and hours upon hours of gameplay. The arenas and weapons in the game are designed flawlessly. They ensure chaos ensues with every round and that you’ll be screaming at your friends down the mic or elbowing them on the sofa.
As a single player experience though, the game is lacking. At the time of review, finding online games was none existent and the single player content isn’t worth your time.
