A surprise entry for one of my personal favorite games of 2011. Dungeon Defenders is a standout title that anyone who calls themselves a 'gamer' should own.
As long as you're not dead-set on playing by yourself, don't miss one of the most exciting and habit-forming co-op experiences on Live Arcade. [June 2011, p.81]

Dungeon Defenders is frantic, colorful and deep in a class of games that's usually just frantic and colorful.
A good Live Arcade game and an original take on the tower defense genre, with good variety and an entertaining gameplay, especially if played with friends.
Dive into the co-op with your friends to see all of the fun, strategy, and depth Dungeon Defenders has to offer. [July 2011, p.94]
With its numerous game modes and customization options, there's a lot to do in Dungeon Defenders. Too bad its fundamentals don't measure up.
For what it attempts, the tower-defense aspects are not well explained enough, or implemented simply enough, to raise Dungeon Defenders above the slew of similar games out there.
Its a fun tower defence game with 3D movement unlike traditional 2D tower defence

Great game, but the modding is seriously out of hand..
I probably won't play dungeon defenders again until they release new patches with new characters in it.

Mixing the tower defense and online RPG genre's, two genres I am admittedly not a fan of, Dungeon Defenders could perhaps become the 'habit forming co-op' it claims if played with like minded friends but with its simplistic combat and repetitive nature this wasn't a game I bothered sticking with for very long.

A game which has been ruined by the online modding community. Dungeon Defenders works, but when the online mode is linked with progression of the single player mode, online modding has tainted the game community and made playing the game as it was intended impossible.
