Make no mistake: while it certainly doesn’t redefine the genre, Feudal Alloy is an incredibly strong second title from Attu Games. It abides by genre conventions with a style that is all its own, nearly flawless gameplay, and an injection of strategy sorely missing from most Metroidvanias. One of 2019’s first strong indie titles.
I’m hopeful for Feudal Alloy. The style and mechanics are there, it just aches for a rebalancing of the introductory portion of the game. This is absolutely doable. And when it happens, it’ll be an unconditional recommendation. That doesn’t mean you should give it a miss now – just prepare yourself for a rocky start.
Very nice handheld graphics. Before buying, it is very important to remember that the style of the game is Metroidvania, which means respawn enemies, more difficulty etc. If you like this game mechanics (same as Ori: The blind forest) this game is for you.
It starts out nice, then after a bit you start to see the cracks show in the quality. The enemy design is basic and the combat quickly goes from okay to tedium. I wouldn't say the game is "bad", but it's also not very good. I'd recommend look at just about any other 2d metroidvania before bothering with this one.
The art style is very good but everything else is just meh. And this stupid overheating mechanic is absolutely annoying. Also, block doesn't work, bombs do not work. Is that supposed to be cause it's the first level or is it a bug? How do I know? The game tells you nothing. What are these strange machines with strange signs? Well, no information for you. Waste **** art style. Avoid.

He had been living a simple but pleasant life until a bunch of outlaws attacked the village, stole their oil supplies and burnt his house. Fortunately, he managed to grab his old sword and fled into the woods…
