Foamstars's gameplay mechanics are very good and unique. The map design and scenery are eye-catching, and the characters have much charisma. While we have a very worthy experience, its longevity will depend on how well it treats the community and whether it becomes a game that endures.
There is so much good to say about Foamstars, with its quirky characters and cheerfully energizing feel. While at launch the matches do not feel entirely balanced, that will even out with time, yet the microtransactions look as though they could only get worse.

Attractive characters and maps, colorful effects, matching with various users! This season lasts for six months! Is there any reason not to love this game?

For a new game, I actually like this. I’ve tried the voice dubs in both languages and theyre enjoyable and I find the story intriguing. SquareEnix, you’ve managed to get me addicted to another game!

FOAMSTARS knows what it’s doing following the Splatoon blueprint, but it’s an easy pop that values its in-game economy more than fostering a community during the teething period of its release. I worry for the future of this one in the live service vacuum. While there are aspects that feel fun, this game still needs to prove itself in the market which is no easy feat. Locally, this is a tall ask but with server numbers untenable it really may be the writing on the bathroom wall for such a new multiplayer game – bubbles not included.
FOAMSTARS has some fun elements and offers some frenetic, chaotic and exciting matches, but it also lacks creativity, identity and shame with one of the most abusive microtransactions we’ve seen.
Foamstars isn’t terrible, but its uninspired gameplay, deficit of content, and obscene monetization make it a forgettable experience.
Foamstars is a lot of unrealized potential. It's like getting excited about a bubble bath only for the bubbles to quickly dissipate and leave behind only some filthy bath water.
From its questionable (albeit largely ignorable) microtransactions to its inconsistent lore, Foamstars feels about as sturdy and enduring as the substance that powers it. [Issue#396, p.118]

O jogo é bastante divertido, com jogabilidade muito ágil, não travou nem teve lag em inúmeras partidas em que eu joguei. Vale a pena testar. Eu recomendo o game!

Having good silly fun with it. Being part of the PS plus line up made it an easy choice to give it a go. I doubt it has longevity but is definitely worth a few hours of your time,I’ve enjoyed dipping in for half an hour here and there.Downside being no platinum trophy though.

Game is fun for what it is,it's not really like Splatoon as so many people say as it is more a hero shooter, the foundation is there but right now there are too few characters and modes to make it anything more than "good"

PlayStation's, "We got Splatoon at Home". However its about 7-8 years too late. Just like Splatoon, it has shallow gameplay that I just do not find fun in any form. At least it has some single player modes, unlike something like Destruction All-Stars, but the wave combat in those is beyond boring and the "story" sounds like it was written and spoken by AI. At least it was free for PlayStation Plus users for this month, as it definitely feels like a free to play game and the cash shop confirms that with some absurdly priced bundles.

This is Splatoon with extra steps. And microtransactions.
I played through the tutorial and didn't play after reaching the lobby. It failed to captivate me, and for a game I got free with PS Plus, I don't have any motivation to play further, and do not intend to.
