The name of the game is survival, and the goal is to escape containment and leave no prisoners. It's easy to cast victims aside in the chase for more power and expanding influence. The true horror of the mission in Carrion only sets in as the credits roll.

Games can have messages, but they can also be a venue in which we act out our most twisted fantasies free of judgment and consequence.

Other than a few finicky control issues with grabbing the wrong object in a cluttered room or getting momentarily caught up in tight passages when playing as the beast's largest form, I had a breezy time. If you're looking for a cathartic pick-up-and-play game with little to no fat that you can slip in between this summer's massive story-driven titles, that's Carrion all the way. It's a devilish snack.

If you love movies like The Thing and have enjoyed the games of Devolver Digital before then you should definitely give this a go. Carrion may not have the good looks of a Nathan Drake or a Lara Croft, but it has the kind of gooey, tentacle-y charm that you just can't find anywhere else.

In spite of being quite short, and having an over-complicated system to switch between powers, Carrion is a very good game that offers something different from the mainstay. We specially like the animations of the monster and the fact that we play as a huge beast.

Carrion is like a totally decompensated beat 'em up. Not because of its metroidvania-like level design, but because we advance destroying everything and everyone in this game. It is a power fantasy full of gore in which the protagonist can become a giant eater of men or a small and elusive mass. Simple and direct; the perfect entertainment for an afternoon.

There just isn’t a reason to play Carrion. There is little narrative, repetitive combat, limited puzzles, and almost zero horror elements. The atmosphere is okay and it reminds me of Alien but that’s about as far as it goes with horror. Just leave this monster stuck in the vent.

Definitely does not need a map as that just pulls you out of the game. Turn on your brain and use your sense of direction and you'll be fine. I 100% completed it in about 6 hours. My only nag is that finding the bonus upgrades (containmwnt units) provided no use as I'd already beaten all the enemies in the game.defeated 99 Expand

I would say it is a very hard game to play, but overall great game-play, amazing art & sound effects and a very intelligent designed map (environment). Expand

I have to text something without another option if I want to rate the game: 75/100 is fair for me. Enough? Haha.

Very unique game! Great concept! Great execution?

You are the monster here! Eating humans, solving puzzles, making your escape route from a facility where they held you in captivity.
The monster is a tentacle monster with many abilities you can gain, make yourself bigger, stronger as you eat humans, growing and being more menacing and versatile. As you get more abilities, you can progress more and solve more puzzles. Yep, it's one of those games. It's a metroid-like basically. But still a bit more linear.

What I like is the really cool pixel art, nice lighting, fantastic sound design, crazy abilities, useful physics system. Fantastic atmosphere! Decent checkpoints and satisfying killing. Also there are some cool flashbacks which you control too!

Honestly I'm mixed about this title.

It's short. Probably a bit too short for it's price! No multiple endings, no real replay value. Also the map... there is no map! But it's fine as it's more linear than many metroid-likes. The areas are distinct enough but could have more variety. The places kinda feel similar. Different look yes but in functionality they are the same. And the puzzles. They are cool and not that hard first but it gets repetitive. And I didn't feel the escalation in the story. Let's look at Super Metroid, you know you are getting close to the end. It has feel of progression, here it feels like you are going from A to B but it's all the same, except you get more and better enemies. Many times you can't win with brutality, you need to use your brain and abilities, that's really nice actually. But I didn't feel the climax. I didn't feel getting closer to the finish and I expected some big twist or some crazy stuff. Yes, the final level was... it was obvious, you are done and it's the final area but something was missing. Some extra creativity would have been cool.

I really, really want a sequel! With some improvements. It's a good game! Very enjoyable. But it gets old. I completed it in 2 sittings, about 4-5 hours long. Cool game! Killing in creative ways is super satisfying. You feel the fear of the human characters. And that's so good!

7/10... a bit sad about this... I wanted it to be even better. Still... play it! Maybe wait for a little sale but please, support the developers. They made a rough diamond.

No es mal juego pero no sobresale en absoluto de la media, si puedes jugarlo por un buen precio no creo que te arrepientas
