LawBreakers is an interesting mix of Tribes: Ascend and Overwatch. If you are tired of Blizzard's online shooter, you definitely need to try it.

Lawbreakers is a fresh new FPS with some room for improvement, but so far it’s a neat experience. For the price of 30,- euro’s you’ll have hours and hours of fun.

No matter what comes next, Lawbreakers is a success. It's proof, among other things, that veteran design talent really does mean something - and that the shooters of the late '90s still have something to teach the modern game industry. This is more than nostalgia: it's a paean to the genre's potential, performed by people who know it well. [Issue#311, p.104]

In its best game modes, LawBreakers manages to make simply moving around feel amazing. Learning how to fall with style in the most deadly way possible is a thrilling challenge. Getting stuck playing a weak mode and map thanks to the grab-bag matchmaking can be frustrating, but it doesn’t ruin an otherwise fast and tense shooter that lets you gleefully propel yourself through low-gravity with rocket boots and miniguns.

Despite some superficial similarities to other recent multiplayer focused games, LawBreakers is ultimately its own beast with challenging, deep gameplay that succeeds thanks to the unique movement system, low-gravity combat and fun, varied classes.

While LawBreakers isn’t the most popular game on Steam right now, it’s not something you should ignore. For FPS fans clamouring for something new and innovative, you have finally got what you’ve been asking for. If you are looking for a game with a high skill-ceiling that tries to bring new ideas to the table, definitely consider picking up LawBreakers.

LawBreakers is far from being a bad multiplayer FPS. It's a fun game with some good ideas, that can entertain you a lot. But there's nothing in it that feels really surprising or more appealing to players that already have plenty of choices in the genre.

This might be the most criminally underappreciated game I have played in the last 20 years. If you like fast paced, over the top competitive shooters, with a high skill ceiling you need to check out this game, don't believe the haters who played it for an hour and asked for a steam refund. This game is impossible to get a feel for without putting a little time to learn the subtle mechanics of each character. But once it clicks, it hooks you, it is extremely fun, well worth the $30 price tag. Expand

It is a character based shooter so different characters have different play styles. For the release which just happened about five hours ago they have added a new hero. Nerfed and boosted some heroes to get a more equal playing field and added two new maps and a new game type. I have logged about 20 hours in the beta and have had a blast. Even when your team is down a bunch you can fight your way back to victory with a few lucky breaks. The gun play feels nice and weighty and the zero gravity areas on the maps adds for some interesting attacking a shooting dynamics. I think this game will end up being a great game and grow in content with each season like LOL or Rainbow Six Siege does. It is a great game and you are supporting a small studio. Expand

Best competitive fps on the market currently. You are doing yourself a great injustice if you miss out on this game because of negative peopleBest competitive fps on the market currently. You are doing yourself a great injustice if you miss out on this game because of negative people calling it an overwatch clone or blatant lies about it. This game has 8 maps not 3 like I saw in someones review on this site and 9 characters with a promise of fee dlc to come in the future. Every character is fun to play and balanced and once you get good at the game it is like no other feeling I guarantee. better than overwatch in my opinion...by far. Expand

So far (21 hours including Open Beta) I enjoy it greatly.
It has similarities to great aspects of recent games that I played and loved:
Overwatch’s fidelity, charisma and set loadouts
    Titanfall 2’s fast paced movement
Rocket League’s intense back and forth game dynamic

Lawbreakers has all this and the arena feel I was craving in modern shooters for years.

I liked playing all characters from the get go. Normally I have to warm up more to characters which don’t fit my playstyle as much. Here everything feels FPSy and fresh.

On the technical side I had a good experience. Fast matchmaking time. Enjyoable UI. Fluid mechanics.

It’s not a huge game content wise. It seems Boss Key takes the route afformentioned games took with their payment model.
From experience I can tell, that if they generate the revenue, more content should be released regularly for some time.

Lawbreakers really pushed my right buttons, I’d like to see into what it can grow. Join in if you like first person shooters. I already feel home.

Call of Duty: Black Ops has more character than this joke of a game. Playing this was a wast of time.
