This co-operative action horror FPS takes you and your friends through the cities, swamps and cemeteries of the Deep South, from Savannah to New Orleans across five expansive campaigns. Play as one of four new survivors armed with a wide and devastating array of classic and upgraded weapons. In addition to firearms, you'll also get a chance to take out some aggression on infected with a variety of carnage-creating melee weapons, from chainsaws to axes and even the deadly frying pan. You'll be putting these weapons to the test against (or playing as in Versus) three horrific and formidable new Special Infected. You’ll also encounter five new "uncommon" common infected, including the terrifying Mudmen. Helping to take L4D's frantic, action-packed gameplay to the next level is AI Director 2.0. This improved Director has the ability to procedurally change the weather you’ll fight through and the pathways you'll take, in addition to tailoring the enemy population, effects, and sounds to match your performance. L4D2 promises a satisfying and uniquely challenging experience every time the game is played, custom-fitted to your style of play. [Valve] Expand

L4D2 delivers multiple improvements over its predecessor, and I get to keep all my fingers and toes.

It's better than the first game, then. The biggest achievement, however, is that Valve - who are known to take their time - have managed to put such an enormous wealth of content out in a single year. Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't just add a few new levels and features, it fiddles and increments a formula that few thought needed changing in the first place. The team have managed to infuse their sequel with the exact same kind of nuanced creative energies that usually takes them years, and in doing so they've made last year's accomplished Left 4 Dead look like a simple mod in comparison.
  3. Left 4 Dead 2 is better and bigger than Left 4 Dead. It’s a sequel that builds on its incredibly stern and ludicrously fun foundations, expanding in all the right places and scrubbing out all the little problems that existed in the original.
  4. Left 4 Dead 2 manages to recapture the strong points of the first game while improving on them too. If the real zombie apocalypse is going to be as fun as this one, you have nothing to worry about.
  5. Left 4 Dead 2 is better than the original in virtually every way and every bit as replayable. I would say there is enough new stuff to justify it being released as a sequel, but on the other hand I agree with many that say this is what L4D should’ve been.
  6. Left 4 Dead 2 is a great sequel. Bigger and more variation in the gameplay – it is how it should be.
  7. Left 4 Dead 2 may have lost some of that new zombie smell, but its cooperative play is still among the best.

But with whatThis is my favourite game from valve. The only flaw about this game is that single player is not as enjoyable as the multiplayer. But with what it gets right, this is a minor issue. The graphics age really well and looks better than back 4 blood. There is around 100+ death animation for zombies and 700+ injuries combination the zombies can get. I haven't seen the zombie die with the same death animation consecitively in my 40hour of playtime. This game is best when you are playing with 8 people in versus and trust me its amazing. The map design the ai of the game allow the game to be as fair as possible with no **** weapon spawns cause the ai will give you loot base on how good you are doing and spawn zombies base on how good you are doing so there is no rng in this game .all the zombie and special infected are really well design. the zombie scream , the music for the special infected(especially the tankmusic) and the ai of the zombies are great (unlike back 4 blood) buy the game and play with your friends now its literally 5 -1 dollars don't buy back 4 blood. oh and the characters are great unlike back 4 blood and well written Expand

And if you (like me) never bought the original, all those maps are now in the game.
One downside is that the Australian and German versions were censored ( D: ), the other downside is that the graphics kinda suck ( 2006 standard), but it was obvious that they were too busy polishing everything to a blinding shine.

Left 4 Dead 2 is like I would call it Steamovka. If you're on Steam and you're playing at least a little bit of multiplayer, you have to haveLeft 4 Dead 2 is like I would call it Steamovka. If you're on Steam and you're playing at least a little bit of multiplayer, you have to have Left 4 Dead 2 in your library. It's a classic that will never grow old. Graphically, the game is so ... sufficient. Valve mostly makes graphics in his multiplayer titles, which is nice in a way, but not breathtaking. But it has its charm, because it looks good in the final and especially the game can be played by almost everyone thanks to low HW requirements. In practice, I have a friend who is a pure console and does not even touch the PC, but if we want to play something together, then Left 4 Dead 2 is not a problem, because my friend has a laptop that can tighten the game without any problems. In addition to praising here that the game can be played by almost anyone I would also praise gameplay. The game is fast, action-packed, just a total carving of zombies, and that's better when you're enjoying this action room with a friend. What about a friend. It's best to go straight with the full crew. Create a group of four people and you have fun. Killing those infected monsters for a long night. The game has several maps and I must admit that they are really great. Each has its own charm. In addition to locations, there is also an arsenal crack. Whether a pistol, AK47, M4A1 or a zombie as a motorbike. The good news is that you can enjoy the game yourself. You can go through the maps with either shoes or random players. You can join a random game. Of course, you will lose something and it will not be as if you were with your friends on Discord, but what I played alone with random people, I had no problem. For me, a great game that I recommend and one of the best on Steam in terms of multiplayer. Expand

ALthough this game has some new features, it clearly proves the quote "sequels suck." If you're looking to spend the money to upgrade ALthough this game has some new features, it clearly proves the quote "sequels suck." If you're looking to spend the money to upgrade your l4d, go ahead. New chars are not really that great, too attached to the old ones =). other than that, laser sights are fun to use Expand

Steam and L4D2 is a complete joke, you can't resell the game due to the registration online. Just shows what greedy capitalists Valve Steam and L4D2 is a complete joke, you can't resell the game due to the registration online. Just shows what greedy capitalists Valve are. Imagine buying a TV and not being able to sell it..only YOU can watch it lol that kind of thing. The word ridiculous isn't strong enough. But what goes around comes around, give it a few years and no one will be playing L4D and there won't be L4D3 or L4D4. Even if there was, are you dumb enough to buy it? Another $50 for a few extra weapons and the SAME storyline? Haha...Better spend your money on medical treatment, seriously. Expand
