Not much worldbuilding or storytellingA simpler, more accessible kind of traditional roguelike, one that even lets you turn off permadeath. Not much worldbuilding or storytelling but a lot of enemies, puzzles and of course loot. Not a whole lot of variety, but it does have a decent system of procedural generation which provides a good deal of freshness. Your inventory fills up super quick at first, which is frustrating. The genre doesn't require outstanding art but these graphics are primitive even by trad rogue standards. It wasn't very challenging (on normal mode) and it wasn't intriguing. It wasn't a bad experience but after a couple hours of playing, I didn't feel drawn in. There are other trad rogues, even more accessible ones, that I would rather sink my time into. That said, it seems like a respectable effort and I could probably recommend it to fans of the genre. I'm still looking for the best trad rogues to introduce newbies to the genre but so far, I don't think this would be in the top 5. Expand
