    Overall They always run is an intriguing example on modern 2-D platformers. Whilst it has minor problems with some of the platforming it does not take away from the atmosphere and aesthetic this game exudes. Whilst not having the most compelling story being very formulaic and told through long text breaks the combat and graphics more than make up for it.

    Ultimately, They Always Run has a lot going on for it. Its combat mechanics are delightfully complex enough to provide satisfying gameplay, and its gorgeous aesthetics make every second screenshot-worthy. However, the numerous bugs, uninspired platforming and lacklustre story make for a frustrating experience. The combat and art may make these worth it, but a couple of major patches would make the game much more enjoyable.

    They Always Run gives the impression of a proof of concept that didn’t have the time or resources to fully materialize in a complete and finalized game. As it stands the combat is very static and devoid of energy, with just glimpses of a more exciting choreography, the story comes extremely abruptly to a (non) finale, and the audio is entirely lackluster.

The core gameplay loop is solid and the plop has genuinely interesting, however the game can feel rather short and just when the level design really starts getting interesting, the game is over.     Я в корне не согласен с оценкой сюжета,ведь он есть,повороты интересные,не то что во многих проектах подобного жанра.Игра чуствуетьсяЯ в корне не согласен с оценкой сюжета,ведь он есть,повороты интересные,не то что во многих проектах подобного жанра.Игра чуствуеться отлично,с остановками и перерываниями во время битв нету.Конешно в игре есть 2 минуса:
    1.Диалоги - согласен они не идеальны,можно было бы сделать и больше
    2.Механика 3-ей руки - согласен управлять ней в корне не удобно, но я лично считаю, что этот недостаток вполне обьясняют в финале.
    Игра хорошая,увы считаю оценку слегка заниженой    … Expand

The character turns and run in a weird way, kinda sluggish and unresponsive, doing things like not stopping immediately and such. There's also no animation cancel, which makes the combat more frustrating than it should be. This makes the whole experience quite frustrating and miserable. If they fix this movement problem with a patch, the game will be good. As it is, it's not recommended.… Expand
