  • Summary: Risk of Rain is an action platformer with roguelike elements. With permanent death as a primary feature, players will have to play their best to get as far as possible. Fight on a mysterious planet with randomly spawning enemies and bosses, either alone or with 3 friends in online co-op.

    Risk Of Rain finally gets the console release it deserves, a solid port with improved multiplayer capabilities only improves upon the fun had with the PC version. Must have for those looking for a great couch co-op experience.

    The game draws you in and doesn’t let you go and I’m glad with all the hype around all the latest AAA releases its nice to go back to simpler times and play a game that isn’t all about a short story that can be completed within 20 hours of game play you have to simple objectives that stay the same, find the teleporter and stay alive as you go running through the levels looking for something that you swear isn’t there until you find it tucked away in a little corner of the level.

    Risk of Rain makes an effort to critique the one-man-army story, by tossing around the idea that maybe, just maybe, the survivor isn’t the hero we assume them to be. It’s not the most nuanced criticism, but it’s still an important one, and the element of solitude is a key component of that.

    Risk of Rain has a lot of issues that have to do with chaotic graphics and boring action, but the original features save the day. The game is very stressful, but as it is different every time you replay it stays interesting.

A trilha sonora envolvente, a aventura e mistério ao caminhar pelas diferentes fases, a busca por melhores poderes, tudo isso enquanto a dificuldade aumenta constantemente e o peso de saber que não passar pro próximo nível agora pode significar sua morte pelos inimigos que ficaram fortes demais. O multiplayer torna a experiência ainda melhor, com um bom balanceamento e ótimas mecânicas, é definitivamente um jogo que precisa ser jogado.… Expand

    The incredible artwork and dedication the Developers have put in the game are deserving of recognition. The music is amazing well produced and made, motivating you to keep up with the fight and sucking you into the mystery of the world. Definitely one of the best soundtracks for a game.
    For collectors there are log books that contain lore of enemies. It is a joy to read the journal entries of enemies to expand upon the world building. The items you collects by completing challenges and playing through the game also have log entries that help to explain the lore of the world before the events of the game.

    The rush and excitement of fighting through hordes of monsters and bosses to reach new stages keeps the pace up. The final boss is a fitting and fair end to the game. The challenge of the hard difficulty takes time to adjust to, but with practice the anger switches from anger to fun. The artifacts you collect can create new experiences that are worth experimenting with.

    The variety of characters and items can fit any player, the game doesn't force you to play one way but instead encourages experimentation. All characters are well balanced and unique.
    The more you play the bigger you're game gets as well as the players strength.
    Risk of Rain deserves the recognition of a great games that will hold up as an important inspiration for more rouge likes and games to come.    … Expand

    This incredibly good game can get very hard but it always remains fair! The items you find through the levels have the possibility to transform your character into a killing machine that will give you a fighting chance against your enemies. Don't be turned off by the difficulty getting harder and harder as time advances. I was sceptical at first but it turns out to be a great game mechanic that will keep you focused and motivated. You cannot take your time, "clear the stage" and find all the items. If you do you're going to get crushed pretty soon. On the other hand, you cannot rush to the teleporter without taking a few items with you. It's all about balance. Look around and find a few items quickly... then find that teleporter! The music in this game is amazingly good and fits the mood perfectly. I would listen to these tracks on their own without playing any game. They're that good.

    The only problem I can think of is that the levels are not purely randomly generated. There are some variations in each stage and the items are not always located at the same place... but after a few runs you will instinctively know where to find the items and how to explore each level. Though it's not a huge deal as there is still a LOT of replayability with this game.

    I got this game under $5 on PSPlus... a steal.    … Expand

    Pros:
    - Solid gameplay with multiple characters each with special moves (with cooldowns)
    - Cool upgrade system with shrines and chests and droids available

    Cons:
    - I couldn't figure out what icons represented what upgrade when having to pick out of three
