    I’d absolutely suggest giving World War Z a shot, even more so if you were a fan of Left 4 Dead. It really scratches that itch, namely a fun, zombie focused co-op shooter with a solid progression system that’ll keep you hooked for a while. So despite its association with a so-so horror film, World War Z manages to rise above its source material into something that I found to be a lot of fun.

    World War Z is a pretty fun but extremely short co-op zombie shooter that is eerily similar to Left4Dead but helps counter the withdrawal any fans of that franchise may have. A few more bug fixes and much more in-game content would give this game the much-needed resuscitation it deserves.

    World War Z successfully recreates the most spectacular scenes of the movie. The co-op experience works well but it's a bit short and doesn't add anything fresh to the genre.

    World War Z has a Left 4 Dead-based-DNA that exposes too much its lack of originality. The game, in its essence, is fun and enjoyable, but most of the merit it isn't all of its doing.

    World War Z has some moments that are an utter blast – the special zombie types and impending doom of a zombie tower bring pure excitement. However, these moments are few and far between, leaving a shell of game with very little content, a lack of creativity, a near non-existent story, and a disappointingly shallow progression system.

We made it and was great team/ friend experience. When you have to navigate the hords like a true unit and walking into other players line of fire is really unforgiving and you are attacked from left and right and when headshots count because you save bullets to the next fight. THEN the classes also means something and having a medic on your team could mean the difference success or failure.… Expand

Taking down the swarms is exhilarating,and on harder difficulty levels you really do need to work as a team.

    I find the various competitive multiplayer modes rather frustrating and uninspiring, and the typical case of a handful of expert players dominating everyone else, but maybe that's just me. It works fine.    … Expand

    And, while I was able to play it, it wasn't awful. it's still in its infancy and the crashing is something a lot of my friends also complain about (I got kicked to PS4 menu four times in under an hour). The game play is a bit unimaginative because it is, as many people have said, very Left4Dead-ish. The special enemies are almost direct copies of L4D special enemies.

    The XP system where you earn levels, perks, and customization is nice, it encourages replay, cooperation. If I play this for six months, I'll be shocked.    … Expand
